Tech Update: Valhalla Calling!
The latest Main BOX is here! Valhalla Calling contains awesome new Fairy-Type support as well as support for Fortune Ladies, Nordics, and more! Other cards in the Valhalla Calling Main BOX have many uses that allow them to fit into lots of different Decks as powerful tech cards. Check out some of the most versatile cards in the Valhalla Calling Main BOX that are likely to be used in competitive Dueling!

1.) Forbidden Lance

Forbidden Lance is a Quick-Play Spell Card that lets you target a face-up monster on the field and reduce its ATK by 800 until the end of the turn, as well as make that monster unaffected by the effects of other Spell/Trap Cards. Forbidden Lance can be useful when you use it to target an opponent’s monster or your own monster. Target an opponent’s monster to weaken its ATK and stop it from being affected by Equip Spell Cards that would otherwise power it up. Target your own monster to make it immune to an opponent’s Spell or Trap Card, like World Legacy Clash, Spellbook of Fate, Floodgate Trap Hole, or Treacherous Trap Hole. Your monster will lose 800 ATK, but that’s a small loss to take in exchange for the protection that Forbidden Lance will give your monster. Expect Forbidden Lance to be a popular tech card from the Valhalla Calling Main BOX.

2.) Scrap Dragon

There’s a new Level 8 Synchro Monster in Duel Links, and it was one of the most popular Level 8 Synchro Monsters in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME for a long time! Scrap Dragon can be Summoned by Tuning a Tuner with 1 or more non-Tuner monsters, and has an effect that’ll take anything off of the field! Once per turn, Scrap Dragon lets you target 1 card you control and 1 card your opponent controls, and destroy both of them! Scrap Dragon also has 2800 ATK, so after you use its effect to clear your opponent’s field, you can often attack with Scrap Dragon to end the Duel.

Scrap Dragon will be a natural fit in Decks that use Level 8 Synchro Monsters, including Blue-Eyes Decks. It also works well in dedicated Scrap Decks, especially since it has a second effect that only works with other Scrap cards. When Scrap Dragon is destroyed by your opponent’s card and sent to the Graveyard, you can target a non-Synchro Scrap monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon it. Scrap Dragon is a powerful card for any Deck that can Synchro Summon it, and it’s especially strong in Decks built around Scrap monsters.

3.) Star Eater

Star Eater is a Level 11 Synchro Monster with 3200 ATK and 2800 DEF that can be Summoned by using 1 Tuner and 1 or more non-Tuners. Its Synchro Summon can’t be negated, and when it’s Synchro Summoned, cards and effects can’t be activated. In addition, if Star Eater attacks, it is unaffected by other card effects until the end of the Damage Step.

As the only Level 11 Synchro Monster in Duel Links, Star Eater fills a unique role. A Deck focused on Synchro Summons can Synchro Summon Star Eater and then use its immunities to obliterate an opponent’s Life Points through any defenses an opponent sets up.

4.) Hyper Hammerhead

Hyper Hammerhead is a Level 4 Dinosaur with 1500 ATK and a nifty effect. At the end of the Damage Step, if an opponent’s monster that battled it is not destroyed, Hyper Hammerhead returns that monster to the hand. You can use Hyper Hammerhead to get just about any monster off of your opponent’s field.

There are lots of cool cards in the Valhalla Calling Main BOX. Which tech cards from the set are your favorites?

KDE_YUGIOH, so, i know this will sound dumb, but please put UR dream tickets to sell for money and gems, i'm almost at full gems (sitting at 8500 right now) and i don't have a reason to spend them because i didn't finish my other decks because some cards are from past events and i would not like to start yet another deck(or decks) that i will not be able to finish because of the same reason. Thanks, hope you think about it with love.

Edit1: Or ... you know ... put the cards on the Card Trader, actually giving that NPC a purpose ...
