At the end of the Donkey quest, you get an Ice Axe, which as 200% efficiency and has the amazing attribute of not needing to be sharpened.

Does the DLC give similar axes, shovels and hammers too for other quests?

no, you only get various bags that can not be obtained other way and based on your choices possibly very good general perk.

Though you get couple of other (obtainable without DLC) items or resources and gold along the way, reducing significantly chore and grind of the base game.

Back to topic, no there is no hammer/axe/shovel similar to it currently. I guess the devs has recycled the idea for grade III tools in this way?

No, no other ice tools.
And btw, hammer doesn't need sharpening either.
