Making an ash of myself
Ash is the most valuable resource. Gold you can get elsewhere, Diamonds you can get elsewhere, even Silver is easy to obtain, but ash comes from the burning of bodies only. Yet you need it for many potion components, to fertilize your gardens and vineyards, and to build the colurnbarium to grace your churchyard. Yet to do all this needs more ash then you get. Case in point a marble colurnbarium takes a whopping 60 ash to build so that’s sixty bags of fertilizer close to a months worth of vine yard production you lose to build one. I don’t want more ash at a burning, {well sort of more on that latter} what I do want is more control. So as usual I have a few thoughts.

1. Less cost to fill an urn.
If an urn costs three ash to fill for a marble colurnbarium would drop to thirty six ash. You would still have to make the sacrifice to do it but you would save 26 ash for all the other things that need it. The end result more people might opt to install a colurnbarium in the churchyard so those two lovely models will get used more in game. Also when I upgrade from a stone to a marble colurnbarium, allow me to reclaim some of the ash used in the first one when I remove/improve it.
2. Ash drops from dungeon dwellers.
The flies that drop assorted alchemic powers could also drop ash. That would be a small boost of this valuable item, and could cause the player to agonize over what to keep on a dungeon run . Me I would keep the ash.

3. Late game embalming and ash.
You have set your morgue up to be a corpse processing machine. Multiple tables to swiftly process the dead, and then it happens, you fill up your graveyard. Also you have all the zombies one could ever need beavering away at tasks. Now a corpse comes in you just yank out the parts you want and off to the pyre for that ash you need and all your embalming tools gather dust unused. What if the act of embalming were to get you a reward in the form of extra ash per corpse burned? Set an X value on white skulls created as a reward for extra ash. For example an eight white skull you get 6 ash after a cremation , while a perfect corpse could get you up to double the ash yield at ten. This would make late game embalming a useful and necessary thing.

Oh and a PS.

Salt also comes from bodies yet you can only use it for Kraut and a one time spice cure. Would love to see salt be a item of value to be sold at the inn and to the Dairy farmer. "Hey good cheese needs salt to make" Also the merchant should snap up any spice you make, also if salt makes good kraut spice should make better "Graveyard style" kraut.
