I am used to "Crytek Spatial" off and enabled "Dolby Atmos for Headphones" in Windows instead.
Main reason is Dolby Atmos works for all other games and I don't want to switch this on/off all the time.
With cryspatial you can image sounds as they were behind or around you like in real life - requires headphone for sure.
I haven't tried Dolby Atmos because I don't like how it increases bass.
It's called Cryspatial because it's spatial audio filtering that is output through stereo headphones, just like Windows Sonic and DTS Unbound
If you don't use it, it sounds even worse. The issue is the sound of the game itself, it doesn't change much, at the end of the day it's the game that's telling you where the sound is, not your HS, the most your HS can do is make it worse, making it better is difficult. Crytek needs to improve.
