Hunt: Showdown 1896

Spatial sound enabled or disabled
i want to hear some opinions on whether people think its better to have it on or off.

i have a sony inzone h3 wired headset. is there anyone else that uses this

a friend of mine uses a cheap stereo and hears more than i do so i have tried stereo instead of having spatial sound enabled and in a way i can hear things better but is it better to have spatial sound enabled

also if you have any eq settings you use could you please share them

i dont use crytecks spacial because its ass. i use DTS headphones spacial sound which apparently came licensed with my computer build. but i mean even microsoft spacial is better then crytecks.
So I don't need to enable cryspacial. Just that windows spacial doesn't work for me I try to enable it and it auto disables
I don't understand how dts spatial sound works because it wouldn't enable because I had to pay for it even one of my older headsets was licensed but still had to pay to enable it
Oh come on only 1 person commented

I think that is a personal preference. I disabled it. IMHO I think it sounds better when it is turned off. other will say, it will sound better when it is turned on ...
Matter of taste IMHO.
I am used to "Crytek Spatial" off and enabled "Dolby Atmos for Headphones" in Windows instead.
Main reason is Dolby Atmos works for all other games and I don't want to switch this on/off all the time.

So is it actually working with hunt? They said they support windows sonic.
I tried Crytek Spatial on and off, and concluded I can´t tell the difference. The sound will always be off. I hear stuff happening way closer than it actually is, as if I was 20+ metres forward from where I actually am. I believe this sound design choice is intentional to invoke feelings of paranoia & stress in the player.
This is a configuration question in the first place. Cryspatial is a stereo sound technology and only works with minimum 2 channels for stereo and 1 for microphone. That means, that you configure 2 things. Disable all surround tech in windows and enable cryspatial in Hunt. Set the microphone which needs to be an extra channel as mentioned.

With cryspatial you can image sounds as they were behind or around you like in real life - requires headphone for sure.
Then they should of called it crystereo

I haven't tried Cryspatial, I've only used Sonic and DTS Unbound. DTS Unbound is the best for me but it depends on the shape of your head which works best.

I haven't tried Dolby Atmos because I don't like how it increases bass.

It's called Cryspatial because it's spatial audio filtering that is output through stereo headphones, just like Windows Sonic and DTS Unbound

Cryspatial is a stereo

Crytek's spatial sound system came with the new engine to support the verticalization of the new map, but as with everything Crytek does, the sound is horrendous in vertical rum. Go figure...
If you don't use it, it sounds even worse. The issue is the sound of the game itself, it doesn't change much, at the end of the day it's the game that's telling you where the sound is, not your HS, the most your HS can do is make it worse, making it better is difficult. Crytek needs to improve.
It all comes down to hardware. Test it in the range with a friend, have them crouch walk above, run far away etc with and without it.
