Losing to bad luck
It feels really cheap when I'm trying to get a new hunter in quickplay but lose to bad luck every time. Three times another player got the wellspring in under a minute, two of those times the hunter who got it had one of those supremely easy to defend areas, and the fourth time when I get the wellspring it's in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ prison.

Stillwater Bend's underground area is so easy to defend. If you got concertina traps/bombs, you're pretty much set for it. No one really takes the elevator unless they're desperate.

One time, I just sat there and people fought each other until the time ran out and I won.
Yep one of the times was Stillwater Bend, both non-elevator entrances were protected by tripmines so I tried to drop down the elevator shaft instead of taking the elevator, but since there's a loud sound cue to fall damage I just got shot.
Bad luck is so tilting especially when I outgun at least three other hunters each time

Yeah, it's one of the best spots in the game. People can toss concertina bombs or even poison bombs at the sliding doors and then, they don't need to worry about almost anything else anymore.
Just had to rant because it was SUPER tilting to lose so many times in a row to something out of player control, y'know?

I'm on my 8th loss in a row now, this time because of a king & crown in the prison. I feel like I'm wasting my time, it doesn't matter how I play it's just an auto-lose.

It's bad luck because the only reason the player is in that position is because of a good spawn/good weapon spawns and it's out of player control because the only way to counter the sheer imbalance of positioning is through an enormous skill gap.

That doesn't mean rng has nothing to do with it, though. Especially if that good player is going against another good player.

Your last clue isn't "here" or "there"...it's where you decide it is. That's one of the reasons we have maps, so you can attempt to manipulate where you end up fighting others off. Most people tend to head to the next closest rift...

...that's not always the best option.

Well see that isn't helpful advice, because I used to follow that and even by sprinting as much as I physically am able to I end up not getting the wellspring in a decent spot. If the alternative is an enemy getting the wellspring halfway across the map in a good spot it is. Hell, even heading to the next closest rift doesn't always get you to four, but it's better to at least have three.

wow. salty eh? it's hella easy to defend when you get a decent spot / decent gear. I find that people dont even check for traps when pushing in on me.
If i place bear traps on every entrance, i can just run around in the building like a madman until someone steps in one. Cuz aint no1 yet that tried to disarm them...

And also regarding the locations of the rifts, come on man. u know better than to complain about rng. Do you think ur the ONLY ONE in that game that missed out on those rifts? stop being a turd and think, everyone except the guy that got it missed out on that those games.. #getwokeson

So you mean to say, you get lucky and attribute that to your own skill? Wow, easy to tell the way you play. Hope you get lucky then camp. Man, top tier skill huh.
Well no, I don't think I'm the only person getting bad spawns, i think there's one person getting a good spawn and they win only because of it.
There's only so many times another player can win solely because of getting an easily defended position with 400 still in the wellspring before I stop thinking it's about skill.

Do the developers want us to consider them not having this game finished so it always resets and crashes making you waste 30 mins on map bad luck as well?
