Tomb Kings question: Ruling all of Nehekara (eventually)
This may have been discussed before but I couldn't find a thread on this exact topic.

I recently started my first proper campaign with Tomb Kings, only a year late to the party which I suppose is rather soon by Tomb Kings standards. I understand they can't confederate each other, only vassalize, and I'm thinking what's a good long term plan when playing as Settra.

Should I try to play it friendly with AI Tomb Kings where possible, hope to vassalize them and perhaps down the road sever all our diplomatic ties, declare war on them and take what is rightfully Settra's? Or should I try to bump one of them off early on while they haven't yet built up their forces, even though holding the large provinces could prove difficult with only two armies this early in the game? Or should I just remain casually friendly with them while focusing my forces to pacify the Savage Orc tribes and capturing territory from the Bretonnian crusader states (once I have additional armies)?

I feel like making the wrong move will come and bite me in the butt later on in the campaign.

Settra does not serve. He rules.
Defeat the other Tomb Kings and conquer all of Nehekhara. Many Landmark buildings (Pyramids) are under AI control, and you really want them.
Use diplomacy with Khatep and Khalida. Destroy Arkhan as soon as possible.

Thanks! Now that I was playing I actually noted I was pretty close to getting a new army from the tech tree, so I think Settra is about to rule one more province :steamhappy:

Use the force confederation mod. It'll allow you to beat them in combat and confedate like that, or simply use the Recruit Legedary Lords mod. That way you just wipe the faction and they show up for you.

My go to strat with Settra is to ignore the orcs. Take Zandri and head west to beat Arkhan. The orcs might send one or two stacks, then they generally have too much stuff going on up north.

Thanks! Will begin preparations for a westward campaign! After I take one of AI factions to the East: now that I was playing I noticed they're deliciously vulnerable, and I can afford to hold Settra there for a while until a new army can be made.
