multiplayer battles>invite up to 8 players
Honestly, a multiplayer campaign with more than 2 players would be interesting. On the other hand, you would have HORRIBLE long wait times (my pal complained several times now that my turns seems endless because i fight every battle manually, while he just autoresolve).
So I'm not even against a paid DLC on this topic)
Not possible? Maybe. No clue how engrained into the engine and net code the 2 player cap on campaigns is. Best case, they may add it in for WH3, but I do doubt that it's something as easy as just throwing together a DLC.
Not enjoyable? That is entirely subjective. Even if you don't have more people you'd want to co-op with, how would other people having the option to play with more friends detriment you at all?
And yes it would not be enjoyable... imagine Having Civ without simul turns, every single war, and battle takes 10-15 minutes, even more for the bigger ones and you are merely a spectator, you could have a very long wait between turns, etc etc. that is not fun... People complain about turn times already being to big for mortal empires, and thats without having to see every battle the AI takes part in. And Simul turns aren't really an option either...
1 : Maybe it takes lots of work i dunno im no programmer and they judge it's not worth it.
2 : maybe it causes issues with the coding making it not possilbe ? I would not know, might and magic seemed more simple (again im no programmer)
if it ain't a tech limitation or a time/money investment that would not be worth for CA the argument is pretty much not valid.
If you want to put yourself through an incredibly boring experience be my guest. But they wont add it in because they know it will boring and isn't worth the time/money.
