Mortal Empires download wont work?

so first off i own TW1 and the gamepage is tracking that all the races are downloaded. For some reason though the DLC download button to activate my ability to play mortal empires refuses to aknowledge that instead starting up the game after clicking the download button taking me right to the game menu with no message telling me mortal empires has been activated. im only making a thread since i havent found anything that could help but if someone could point me in a good direction that be awesome.

Ive restarted steam multiple times unistalled my mods and have verified the game cache too.

i also appologize for the horrible spelling and grammar.

So, I am a little confused. Have you actually started playing by clicking play on Warhammer 2 in the library? What happens after that?

no i click the download button for the mortal empires dlc and it starts up my game and doesnt register mortal empires.

Ok, go to Warhammer 2 in your library and look at the DLC list. Do you see Mortal Empires? Is it checked?

its not even on there just all the dlc that would be activated by it

im guessing it should be between krell and Realm of the wood elves

Looking at my list, I had to scroll down the list. It is between the Jade Wizard and Wurzhag.

I had some issues with the FLC for WH1 and ME for this game.

This is what always worked for me:

1. Open the game
2. Goto what ever menu has the content that is available for free that you do not have yet.
3. Select,"get it" or what ever it says, Do this for everything you do not have yet and is free.
4. Exit the game
5. Open steam, what ever you did not have should be downloading. If not, goto library and make sure they are selected in the DLC list.

Simplier things that have worked, but not all the time.

Relaunch Steam

Unselect the FLC in the list and select it again.

tried it didnt work also its not even registering that mortal empires is a dlc for me like where it should on list it doesnt exist im reinstalling game rn though

no it did not trying to work with steam support but i guess they dont read the problem since they are just telling me to repeat the loop again

When you launch Warhammer 2 and click on New Campaign it brings you to a screen where you can select Eye of the Vortex or Mortal Empires. Is Mortal Empires there, but grayed out?

no it up and running it also is telling me i can "claim my free content" which takes me to store page that has the download button that only takes me back to the game

Man this thread is full of terrible advice. Search for "Mortal Empires" on Steam and download it from it's own page.

You don't need Total Warhammer 1 installed any more, download Mortal Empires using the above, run Total Warhammer 2, new campaign, Mortal Empires.
