PS4 controller not working?

Lots of controllers aren't working. It's standard for games with "controller support" nowadays.

A 3rd party program usually does the trick. I use JoyToKey, with "letter" keys binded to the D-pad.
for me is working fine with vibrations, and everything, no 3rd software or other stuff.
DS4Windows is a great PS4 client that enables support for most games. That's what I'm using, and it works great. One thing I'd like to see is for the developer to add PS4 button prompts as an option, maybe as a toggle in the options similar to what The Surge does. Not a huge deal obviously, but given that there are so many button prompts, it would be a nice-to-have.

I don't know if Dead Cells support native DualShock 4, however Steam supports native DualShock 4 both wired and wireless (with the Sony Dongle) on every single game.
You just have to go to Big Picture mode and enable it there. You don't actually have to use Big Picture once you set it. Each game can have a custom profiles or macros, the lightbar/gyro/touchpad also works.

Or if you want to use DualShock 4 for non-steam games, such as Origin, etc. Then you can easily use InputMapper, it's a great program.
Got it, thanks for the help
Dead Cells is also working fine with my DS4 natively. No Inputmapper or anything needed.
I've just tested with 2 of my controllers. Seems like the game supports the older DS4 model (ZCT1J) and not the new one (ZCT2U). You can from the back of your controller.
My controller from ps4 pro :steamsad:
Hello. My Dualshock 4 used to work before, and now since the last update, it doesn't work anymore. I was using it with the native game support, and now even with 3rd party app, nothing work. I use it in bluetooth and I have the same problem on my laptop and desktop computer
