Won't let me go full screen

Instead it opens a window I can't control and hides like half the game. I end up needing to hard shutdown my computer every time I run the game because I can't even exit out of it. For some reason, it would also make my computer load updates after restarting every time I opened the game, but it only did that six times before stopping and now it doesn't do it anymore.

Here, try this:

• Go to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Okami
  
• Right click on okami.exe, the click properties.
  
• Go to compatibility tab
  
• Check the "disable display scaling on high dpi settings", and then click OK.

I got this from Kaldaien, all thanks to him.

never had this issue. I read this before I started the game but it let me easily switch to fullscreen and it stays. You shouldn't Alt-Tab while running the game.

I am having the same problem. I can't even move the window around. Though I can exit out of the game without a hard shutdown by pressing shift + Tab to open the steam community thing.

I tried this and it did not work for me.

Can you access the options menu and change it to borderless or windowed?

If you can't try this:
- Navigate to C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\OKAMI HD (or just paste %appdata%\OKAMI HD to the start menu)
- Open the okami_cnf.ini
- Change the WindowType to either 0 (windowed) or 2 (borderless window).
- Save and (re)start okami.

Nevermind, figured it out. Can't say actually whether that first trick helped or not. I just had to open the options menu and switch to borderless window in game.

Guess that method helps making the window size option appear.

I got this issue!

The game doesn't supports many screens configuration.... it is why i return to only 1 screen!

I had a problem with it not being in full screen at first. I thought it was one of the games that it would go into full screen after you start it, and when I didn't go into it I checked the options and couldn't find it. For me it only allowed me to change to full screen when I was in the main menu and not while I was trying to find it in the options during gameplay.
