Strong Infantry
I wanted to know what is a a good and efficient way to deal with AI-controlled infantry
i found one squad hiding in some buildings tried to recon with chopper seconds after i spotted them it was immediatly destroyed sent vehicles RPG's erased them tried to send some of my own infantry 40 men - 25 died and couldnt even spot them only way to kill them was with indirect fire from tanks
i think their RPG are way too powerful how can an infantry squad have more firepower than a tank?
any tips?

infantry carry anti-tank weapons
best thing to do is use arty to stun them, and push in hard
any offensive carries the risk of high losses

i know they have anti tank weapons but they barely miss their shots and a single one is enough to destroy one tank and if it is a tank shooting it needs like 3 or 4 shots to destroy another
and artillery is quite innacurate i would lose a lot of time tried that

recon will make your arty better, if you do not use recon, you are doomed

the problem was that i couldnt spot them if i could see them my tanks would take them down easily

nope they were between houses or something did a full circle with my recon helicopter and didnt spot them

When I encounter something similar, where I lose a unite to "hidden" infantry (recon cannot clearly see them). I use cheap infantry to scout in force... then use either arty, or tanks (using fire on position) to destroy them.

First locate it with a recon Heli (and maintain the line of sight)
Second step, crush them with mortar units (far more precise than arty)
Third, while infantry is still terrorized, eliminate it with some elite infantry.

Just be sure infantry is close to enemy when last mortar hits your target.

but you're missing the point ppl
i really couldnt spot them helo didnt see them only the attack position with tanks managed to kill them
but ill bring some mortars next time

Unfortunately, the reason I suggested Fire position, is because the Pact has no mortar units..

However, you can always use flame tanks if you have unlocked them, but I never really have any in my MP decks.. so they are very situational.

NATO has an American flame tank, called a zippo I believe. Its essentially a m113 with a flamethrower.

im still in the first 5 missions i dont think i have it yet but how is its range? because if i have to go near them they instantly destroy it

the M132 Zippo has a range of 1050m. Most infantry have anti-tank weapons with a range of 700-800m.

Have fun with the first few missions, and replay a previous one if need be, so as to have more XP units.

The difficulty really ramps up in the Warsaw Pact campaign.
