i think the first option is better as I think the game physics are abit quirky and dont allow a proper tail rotor to function properly, i dont know for sure as i've not played around with it enough. i went with the 2 main blades on my apache going in opposite directions and it seems good enough. depends on how much time you want to spend 'tinkering about' lol
I uploaded the fixed version to the workshop, changes are in the description. Let me know if you want me to delete it (though i most likely will anyway in a couple of days).

WASD by default tilts your vehicle and rotates it even if you set it up differently. The moment I moved my setup to ZGHJ, it stopped tilting and everything works fine.

I think the spinning servo with no buttons controls on it seems to keep my vehicle form spinning but can not seems to get off too far off the ground without crashing back into it form some sort of balance
