I just bought blood bowl from steam, but it is a asking for a player key. Where would I find this

Or are all playing BB2? Or Chaos?

i just recently bought the game and i like that they give you a key with the purchase but for some reason every i try to open the key my steam crashes. is there a way to get the key in a different format?
