Assassin's Creed Origins
Cpu High usage
Good afternoon guys, I'm noticing that the use of my processor in the game gets high sometimes, higher spikes in alexandria, plus someone with this problem?

There are about 10k threads on high CPU utilization complaints. A simple search will lead you to them.

Thx.
A common problem. You just check your CPU temp and don't let it go higher than 80-85°C.
I have between 70-90% CPU usage on the freaking START MENU. i5-2500k w/ GTX 1060 6gb.
This is insane.

You must check your CPU temp. Normally in that high usage ratios, it never should pass from 85°C.
It will only melt your cpu if you breath more then once every 10 seconds. Slow it down, relax and maybe you will still have a pc when you wake up.

my cpu temperature always under 60c and still getting 100% cpu usage :( lets wait and see what they have in the next update
A laptop cooler helped me greatly, i-7 7700HQ GTX 1070 Strix

My CPU does not get any hotter that 65c, even when 90-100% usage .
And have over 70h game play.
If you have good cooling, the CPU usage should not be a problem.
Exactly!

Some guys posted that 100% usage damages the CPU. According to Intel, CPUs are made to work at their maximum capacity in heavy operations and the damage could be done with the temperature (bad cooling systems, fans not working or bad ventilation), not percentage usage.

Some Gaming PCs like Alienware, Lenovo, Dell, etc., have that issue with stock cooling systems that don't dissipate heat properly and let the CPU reach (permissive) high temperatures of 85°C (happened to me with an Alienware). If the CPU reaches 90 to 100° C the system will shut down to prevent damages, but those pikes can deteriorate the life span of the CPU.

you shouldn't be worried then! But keep an eye on that heat and temperature. If it reaches 85°C for long periods of time (or higher temps), you better stop using the game!
