Let's correct that:

"Buyer beware if you have a low to low-med system!"

Works flawlessly (65-80 fps in busiest areas of the game world) on:
i7 7770 3.6 Ghz
GTX 1070
16 GB
1080p
Win 1079; updated drivers

If you have a low to low med system, you will have to actually DECREASE your game settings to play the game. That's what happens when you have a low to low-med system.

If gamers continue to reward companies like Ubisoft by purchasing their DRM laden crapware, then they will continue shipping broken games.

i dont think an i5 is considered a potato, people with an i5 cpu are having issues

Ubisoft is making all their money off consoles, they will fix this when they get around to it. These people on this forum telling you they have good performance are just trolling little children and majority of them didn't even try the game out.

Why do you feel the need to tell people what they can do with thier own money? If you don't want the game that's cool, but this concern trolling is .....

nope, just trying to warn fellow gamers, Legitimate customers should not have to deal with these kinds of issues. Eventually it will get cracked and pirates are going to get the best version. If we gamers dont vote with our wallets, things are just going to get worse!!

EARLY ADOPTERS of Assassin's Creed Origins are have been quick to moan that the open world game is using excessive CPU resources, and it's thought that Ubisoft's implementation of piracy-thwarting DRM tools is to blame.

Over the weekend, gamers have taken to the Steam forums to whine about the CPU load, with one Assassin's Creed player reporting a 100 per cent load on all four cores of his processor even when lower graphics settings were used.

"It really doesn't seem to matter what kind of GPU you are using," another complained. "The performance issues most people here are complaining about are tied to CPU getting maxed out 100 percent at all times. This results in FPS [frames per second] drops and stutter. As far as I know there is no workaround."

As well as stutter, others have complained that this CPU overload has caused their Windows PC to crash and, in some cases, display the dreaded 'Blue Screen of Death' (BSOD) due to their machines overheating after just an hour or two's play.

why do we need to run vmware on a virtual machine to protect the software when we legitimately bought it?

Depends on the i5. Also depends on the other hardware specs, resolution, settings, etc. But you didn't add details, so the op is entirely irrelevant. No need for others to be specific if the op isn't.

not only do we have steam drm, but on top of that we have uplay as a drm and then denuvo and then vmware on top of that!!! thats got to be the height!!!
Aionion Oct 30, 2017 @ 3:58pm
The only thing that matters is actual performance with relation to specific hardware configuration and settings of the game. Could have 1k DRM's, if it isn't impacting game performance, it's irrelevant.
