Language changes automatically to Japanese

so this started since iceborne ( long time i know )
but im starting to think its only me having this :l
and its super annoying
when im trying to type something super quick mid hunt
only to find that what i tried to type in English came out as Japanese
so i end up typing some random Japanese letters and people be like ( ??? )
then i try to type again and change that language to English this time and type it again
mid hunt XD .. im starting to get good at it to not get carted XD
but wanted to ask in case someone else had this and found a fix
it keeps defaulting to Japanese everytime i try to type .. like every single time almost

If you have multiple keyboard setups (as in multiple Windows languages):

Pressing CTRL + SHIFT causes the keyboard to change. I had the same issue myself (just with different languages). It's not uncommon to press CTRL and SHIFT at the same time while gaming.

The solution to this is to disable the shortcut. You can find information here:

for me its Shift+Alt (win7) to change language . im 100% sure i do not press it by mistake . in MHW it changes the language to Japanese automatically since iceborne came out .
ingame chat if i type something in English and press Enter
and then instantly press Enter again to type again ( without pressing any button in between )
it sometimes switched my language to Japanese . even tho i didnt press anything . and i was just typing in English earlier

and thats the annoying thing about it .. it keeps defaulting to Japanese 80% of the time between chatting

Keyboard layout switch is anoying AF, just do as Mr. September suggested and unbind the hotkeys and probably delete any other language from it ... it will keep bugging you for unknown reasons even if you don't press the hotkeys.
Only other thing that I can think of is that you maybe set the language to japanese in the steam library (right click on the game in the library).
