Monster Hunter: World

Monster Hunter: World

Vezi statistici:
Is there a more efficient fuel farming way?
What I'm currently doing:

- Guiding Lands all areas have ores at red level
- Assassin's Hood for speed, Geology 3, Botany 1 and Master Gatherer skills. Also the skill to recharge tools extra faster and skills to decrease stamina while running and recovering stamina quicker. Ghillie Mantle for when a monster gets in the way.
- Farm every ore 3 out of 4 times, then go to next to prevent raising ore level and eventually bringing it down again (mostly, sometimes the character just keeps going for no reason and sometimes I make a mistake).
- Summon extra help cat to have 1 more cat gathering ores.

My route:
Camp 2 > Coral > Camp 2 > Rotten > Volcano > Camp 1 > Desert > Repeat

I know all spawn places and my route is... pretty good. Only desert is a bit out of place, but the forest ores would be even more out of place and take longer. My RNG is not the greatest though. I think I average around 1 Coal Chunk for every area, every once in a while getting 3-4. I'm just wondering if this is currently the best way until the snow area comes out or if there's a way to improve it a bit like get an even higher droprate for Coal Chunks. I think this nets me around 20K-30K fuel per hour.

I do know with the snow area I can just drop the desert and instead go from coral to snow.

What more do you want?
You've already min-maxed everything there is.

The only way to make it better involves cheating.
I don’t make any extra effort to get fuel and I never have any issues with keeping my stock up. You can also add non-fuel ores to the steamworks you know
With the snow area it should be possible to get around 50K fuel an hour. I figure this less efficient route should be able to get me up to at least 35-40K. And yes, I need to put in effort to get extra fuel. My luck in games is terrible and the only way to break through that terrible luck is an extreme amount of grinding. Obviously, I'd like to optimize the amount of grinding if it's possible.

I'm trying to hunt for that dreaded Shield jewel decoration. I already spent over 300K fuel and over 400 silver tickets without getting one. It's the only important level 1-3 jewel I'm missing at this point.

I'm not willing to cheat though.

Not that I know of. I generated most of the 175,000 I burned last event while running around zones mining constantly waiting for sunset / sundown so I could try and grab the rare Moly variants.

The typical route appears to be Coral > Rotten > Coral > Rotten though...maybe Volcano has increased the efficiency or something, I dunno.

Use a lance and use the charge, it speeds up things by a little.
Doing coral then rotten is more efficient, the volcano is a waste of time.

I’ve seen several threads and posts around, stating that shield jewels (and mighty bow) probably cannot drop from steamworks.

If somebody can confirm that they got either from steamworks, that would ve great.

Hes doing it to farm the melding tickets why tf would you "need" more fuel if its optional?

The Silver tickets are only useful if you still need the 3 slot or lower decos which were available during base MHW. Shield Jewel and many other rare decos were also excluded in the pool so it's not worth farming fuel for it. Gold tickets are also not that useful since you can only get rarity 10 decos and rarity 11 Elemental/Status Decos from them. It's better to aim for T3 investigations if you want to farm for decos since they have a higher chance to give you the desired rarity 11 & 12 decos.

Doing coral then rotten is more efficient, the volcano is a waste of time.

Lance charge is slower than using the Assassin's Creed mantle. It needs time and distance/slopes to build up speed, but the AC mantle pretty much just gives a straight up 50% boost to your running/climbing speed. And doing just Coral > Rotten is far too slow, because the ores don't respawn in time. The Volcano is also right next to Rotten and closer to it than Coral.

Anyway, the reason I'm going to the Desert area is because the ores simply don't respawn fast enough to do Coral again. You basically need to cycle 4 different areas with the AC mantle. I don't think the quicker respawns of gathering points food bonus helps either for the Guiding Lands.

I'm pretty sure the Shield Jewel can be gotten from it. I've gotten practically everything else. Attack jewels, free element (like 10), mind's eye, etc. It gives R6, R7, R8 and even the new R9, R10 and R11 jewels new to Iceborne. There's no reason to exclude Shield jewels from the pool when literally everything else is in there. And yes, that includes Mighty Bow as well, I got 2 from it.
