Guard+3 to mitigate some of the stamina damage maybe. Not guard up.

Prob want a full guard 5 tho. I ran HB Glutton 1 shield mod Guard 5 and it wasn't too bad. Good luck OP.

You do not need guard up.

why you want to block that in the first place ?

Because you can get back into dealing damage faster after blocking than after superman diving.

was the divebombs always a double hit attack or is it only for at nergi?

sounds like a huge effort for some seconds extra.

You'll die to chip damage if you tried to block with SnS, and I'm not joking.

uhhh... what?
i mean, there's lots of chip damage but it wont take your entire health away.

i can sort of attest to this, AT hits hard which drains your stamina very fast, if you intended to block everything, your gonna need stamina cap up, as well as guard and enough constitution skill to get 50% stamina usage from blocking on ya. or he'll chip all your stamina away and you'll take the full hit of part of an attack, so on top of him chipping at your HP during the block, you'll take a full damage hit when your stamina is gone.

this is from experience using a CB set, SnS can block em just as well as anything else, but you gotta be built to block properly or your gonna get punished.

constitution reduces stamina required to block? I though only guard did that

they both do, consitution also does evade rolls or anything that consumes a static amount of stamina including: blocking, rolls, dives, bow shots, SA axe wild swing, and maybe hopping from location to location during a mount? not sure on that last one but it seems like if it can it would if your not already capped by other things.

guard is the best way to start, getting guard 3 or 4 and then topping off with some constitution for the 50% max is the most you can do to eliminate the drain per block and a bit on evades.

if your POWER guarding on lance though, it wont affect that i dont think. i dont lance so much anymore. trying less tank weapons more often cept when im grinding events. maybe marathon runner would help for the power guard since that reduces drain rate of stamina from actions that constantly drain stamina like running or demon mode on dual blades.

The better option for SnS would be evade window +2, wich is enough i-frame for most of AT Nerdgy attacks, it saves you samina, you can attack immidiately, and looks super cool to boot!
I suggest you to master the backstep i-frame, that move is straight up OP on leeway of your timing
