Audio looping feedback
During the CTE, some users have reported experiencing audio (commonly gunfire) constantly looping. We believe we have a fix for this in the latest patch, however, our team are unable to reliably reproduce this on our test machines. To confirm this issue is resolved we would like to collect more data from users who experienced the issue.

Please update to the latest CTE version on Steam and try to replicate the issue. If the issue persists on your machine please post below with the following information.

General information:
- Does this issue happen all of the time, or only occasionally?
- Does this happen on only community servers, matchmaking, or both?
- Does this happen on all game modes / maps or just specific cases?
- When the issue occurs, do you have a high ping, or the connection issue warning on screen?
- Did anything specific happen prior to the looping audio?
- Did any event stop the looping audio?
- Does this issue occur only in the CTE or also in the live version?
- When did you first notice this issue occurring?
- If possible, please share video of the issue occurring

Technical information:
- General System Specs (Memory / CPU / Storage type etc.)
- Audio Device Type
- Windows system audio sample rate and bit rate setting
- Are you running any other audio programs? (e.g Discord)

Best,

Jon & The NWI Team

Hi, I had this problem in live version and I think I have a way to replicate the issue.

General information:
- Does this issue happen all of the time, or only occasionally?
> It always happens on high ping server(ping >150ms), and sometimes when 100ms < ping < 150ms.

- Does this happen on only community servers, matchmaking, or both?
> Both.

- Does this happen on all game modes / maps or just specific cases?
> All maps and all coop mode (I don't play PVP mode, sorry).

- When the issue occurs, do you have a high ping, or the connection issue warning on screen?
> Yes, yellow and red one can replicate this issue.

- Did anything specific happen prior to the looping audio?
> Just when someone kills the AI.

- Did any event stop the looping audio?
> 1. After the server cleans the ground objects.
> 2. You chase the looping gunshot sound and find the exactly the weapon which cause this glitch. You pick it up and fire a shot. The sound will stop.

- Does this issue occur only in the CTE or also in the live version?
> I'm a live version player, sorry.

- When did you first notice this issue occurring?
> Every time when I have a high ping warning on my screen.

Technical information:
- General System Specs (Memory / CPU / Storage type etc.)
> (8+8+4+4)GB DDR3 RAM
> E3-1270 V2
> 250GB Sumsung 860EVO

- Audio Device Type
> Edifier R1200TII Stereo Bookshelf Speaker
> Realtek ALC887

- Windows system audio sample rate and bit rate setting
> 16bit
> 48.0kHz

- Are you running any other audio programs? (e.g Discord)
> Nope.

I hope this will help the team catch the bug.

Hi, I had this problem in live version(ver 1.3) and I think I have a way to replicate the issue.

General information:
- Does this issue happen all of the time, or only occasionally?
>Sometimes it won't happen until the end of a game, sometimes a game will happen frequently.

> Nope.

- Did anything specific happen prior to the looping audio?
> When a player in the game or a BOT is killed while shooting a gun, it will happen (in this case, it is especially caused by a sudden kill in a continuous shooting state).

> Both.

- When did you first notice this issue occurring?
> When a player in the game or a BOT is killed while shooting a gun.

Technical information:
- General System Specs (Memory / CPU / Storage type etc.)
> (4+4+4+4)GB DDR3 RAM
> I5-4430
> 1TB 7200RPM 64M HDD

- Audio Device Type
> GTX1060 6G(HDMI) -> DELL S2316H(24bit, 48.0kHz)

Using Dolby Atmos spatial sounds, getting tons of audio loops from weapons fired automatically upon death. Even AI can trigger an audio loop.

This happens every 2 or 3 games. It depends on how enemies are killed while keep firing their weapons. My background: Higher latency, higher possibility of audio loop occurrence.

This audio loop issue is not game mode related, but to how weapon sounds are played on the network.

I think you know how to stop the audio loop, you said by picking it up and firing it once. The audio loop is gone now.

SSD M.2

Ram 16.0 Gb G.Skill 3200 Mhz cl15

Format: 2 Channel, 16 bit, 48000 Hz Exclusive mode on.

Dolby Atmos. No other communication programs running.

I got the machine gun fire audio loop earlier on Hillside, playing as Insurgents, between Bravo & Charlie. The loop started after we took Bravo.

Literally happened to me on first game at 180 Ping.
Regarding this bug. In my case the source of looped gunfire was my own gun lieing on the ground. It stopped after gun despawned.
