I'd suggest you contact them through email or something, but the only thing I could find was a support button on their site here http://insurgency-sandstorm.com/en/community which redirects to a form on another site. Might be worth it, just try to make it seem as though you're contacting them to provide info on why it could've happened, like programs you had running at the time or any relevant files they'd want. I doubt they'd listen to a support ticket trying to prove a banned account's innocence, but they would be interested in false positives

EAC has a policy of "all bans are final" and "we dont have false positives"
They dont talk about any cases and do not disclose anything.
Why would any dev go with this is beyond me but I get it some people enjoy velveeta and other people buy the Kraft 3 pack of powdered cheese

And here is part of steams policy and one way they violate that
If a developer communicates a ban request to Valve, is the offending player banned from launching that game – or from using Steam entirely? And, for how long?
The effects of the game ban are determined by the developer, and must be consistent with a VAC ban, such as being prevented from playing online with other players and/or trading items for that game. It cannot prevent the user from launching and playing the game offline. It cannot prevent the user from using Steam.

The duration of the game ban is determined by the developer. Only permanent game bans are displayed on the user’s profile. Temporary game bans, or suspensions, are not displayed.
Yeah, I read about it too before. Game devs should address that, at least, even if they have no way to escalate the issue with EAC.
This violation should be reported to steam support.

There are not many options in the industry, I guess, and credibility of them all is really low.
Anti-cheat vendors also use marketing (basically lies) stunts to sell their products, just like anti-virus software vendors.
I wonder how far in the future should gaming industry go, to address this situation with poor customer service of anti-cheat software and outright ToS violations. These topics should be all over the internet media, so it will be a wake up call for all developers, both game companies and anti-cheat companies.
For now I just keep my distance from games that use poorly designed anti-cheats and game companies with policies allowing other players to issue a ban to other players solely based on reports, and I wonder how many people doing that too for the same reasons.

I really find it odd that the one dev that came in here and actually responded just copy and pasted some bs and we are steady calling them on the bs yet not one has the integrity to repond

NWI Alex is just a community manager and has 0 power to address this issue, other than tell the directions. Which he did.

But this is another issue now. Violation of Steam ToS with enough publicity could get the game removed from Steam.

Well I dont want the game removed as I e said it is an excellent game but they refuse to review my ban and they even know EAC is gonna automate some bs just for fundies I put in a ban appeal for a game I dont even own to see the response EAC sends me we will see in a few days

They do say all bans are final but I think it implies you were actually cheating. They have an entire form for ban appeals if you were not violating anything they list.

"However, you can send us a ban appeal and request an investigation of your account ban. The Easy Anti-Cheat team investigates each claim of false cheat detections to guarantee the accuracy of each decision taken by Easy Anti-Cheat. "

Is there any possibility that you had Notepad++ open at the time of playing? I have heard horror stories of that causing EAC to trigger and screw people over. Again still kinda holding out opening this game maybe until a week after release to make sure this isn't a thing. As you noted that red Vac tarnishes what most of us have worked hard for years to make sure our profile is of clean nature. I would DIE if I had that on my profile. Best of luck to you, not all heroes wear capes! Rooting for you!
I was playing with notepad++ open and didnt have any issues, even with a game settings config loaded on it which I constantly refreshed to see if some video settings saved

His account might got hacked aswell and might been used by a hacker. THat's a thing that happens. Maybe that there is a log file where you can see all the ip's who logged into steam ?

If a false positive happens then it would happen in a big wave, not with just one person i thnk

For the people who won't believe in false positives, they do happen.

There is always a possibility that could happen, for an example because some file (let's say it is a part of mouse management software) was updated in the system and was changed to a new version. It will be no longer considered whitelisted by anti-cheat software and could trigger automatic ban by heuristic engine.
It's just a theory, but it could be true, since nobody knows how exactly anti-cheat works and it can't be, well I hope it is not just scanning for patterns of known cheats.

thats why i said deckboard which is a app that you can use to make tablet like elgatos and its super good but has macro functionality and it will let you run the macros program specific however i never set it for insurgency just streamlabs as it has an api for it really good software just not popular
The First Breed Dec 13, 2018 @ 8:23pm
During the BETA I recieved a message when my game crashed. It was some cheat warning, i dont remember the specifics. But the "helpful" members of the community made the determination that the game had a memory leak (seeing floating guns) that triggered the EAC. I doubt it helps your situation, but it may explain some things.

Well EAC thinkgs that having RGB on your pc is such a major advantage it blocks you from launching games. (Asus Aura triggers EAC)
