RIP Game
I don't see any chance that Insurgency Sandstorm will get that popular like Insurgency.
The Hit system in PUBG is better than in Insurgency Sandstorm. Movements are to fast. Even the Flash is slower. Also there is no AP Ammo. Why? I don't want 5 hits to kill someone.
Also those Airstrikes are really annoing and killing the game. You die even in Buildings.

I played Insurgency since the mod and I have to say that this Version of Insurgendcy looks like some strange chinese copy.

AP/HP ammo isn't making a comeback. It created an unhealthy meta that didn't emphasise player loadout choices. However, we are discussing changes to armour.

If you see an airstrike, move away from open windows or doors.

We're making changes based on player feedback. The more constructive the feedback, the easier it is to find the areas we need to change or improve.

AP ammo was a gimmick.

lol another idiot who opted in for a beta test for a game thinking it was going to be perfect.... :steamfacepalm:

armor = armor. not every single infantry in any military force or pmc can get access to ap ammo literally all the time. sometimes, troops don't have them at all. it makes sense that it would take 5 rounds to kill someone with literally an armour plate. if we were really being realistic, depending on the level of the plate, the plate could literally probably absorb 10+ rounds

Insurgency(source) is actually not popular.
I think Insurgency Sandstorm will be more popular because of it's arcady style.
All feedback is important, especially the negative kind. But let's keep it constructive and civil please.

Half of the OPs complaints have NOTHING to do with the game being a beta but EVERYTHING to do with the direction the devs choose to focus their game.

Why every single shill is so quick at name calling, misses the point and stawmans any argument? Are you getting paid that badly?

Maybe since it's PMC's and Insurgents, but usually all ammo is going to be FMJ with a lead core. When you say "AP" you mean a type of ammo that actually has some kind of penetrator inside the bullet. This actually IS less effective vs. a flesh target because spizter tipped ammo going very fast has a tendency to just fly through people if it doesn't hit a bone. You also sacrifice bullet expansion/fragmentation for having that tungsten penetrator or whatever.

The entire point of AP ammo should be to defeat body armor, but that made it so everyone was using AP becasue it made every kill 1-2 shots. The decrease on limb damage didn't matter because nobody aims for limbs. Nobody ever used HP because if you shot anyone with armor it took about 4-5 bullets.

Making it so everyone is using the same ammo makes armor actually work better. 'Heavy Armor' should stop 2-3 rifle rounds for the sake of game balance. That's the whole point of wearing a ceramic or steel plate, it can and will stop these rounds. "Light Armor" should only stop low calibers from killing you, and help take less damage from fragmentation.

As for being killed by support strikes inside structures, it's supposed to emulate the building being destroyed or penetrated by the rocket/bomb/mortar. This should probably get adjusted so there's places you can stay that are safe, but for the most part all these support things could level a town pretty easily.

As a huge fan of the original, I found AP to be far too powerful. You could one shot every (?) enemy in PvE and given the narrower level layouts, you could dominate most encounters with single shot rifles, not worrying too much about cover. Now positioning matters significantly more.

When reading it as feedback for the beta, it's fine, describes my issues as well, it's sad that he's just angry, dude you could've put all that energy into something productive, or did you really think the game is complete?

We've made multiple changes to run speed based on community feedback over previous tests, both up and down. We're open to more suggestions on the subject based on feedback but currently, that feedback is not consistent.

Hit detection is something we're still looking at.

AP/HP ammo isn't making a comeback. It created an unhealthy meta that didn't emphasise player loadout choices. However, we are discussing changes to armour.

Thanks for your answer!

The kill-area of an airstrike is too huge. Even If I move in the middle of a room I still get hit and die.

The speed of the player is a big issue. Hit detections doenst really work if a player is running. If I camp down a road and 4 people are running down the road they wont get hit at all. I don't have a bad aim.

I'm glad to hear that you guys are looking at hit detection.

One point I don't understand is why I need so many shots for a kill now? I played Insurgency:Modern Infantry Combat and Insurgency because you needed about 2-3 shots for a kill. So the Ping wasn't a big thing. Now it needs about 5-7 Shots for a Kill. I don't see any difference between 7,62 or 5,56.

Also those maps are not really optimized for those gamemodes. They're too open. In Insurgency there were buildings, streets, windows with a reason.
It was always possible to play tactical in the old version. There was alot of positions to cover an area or defend one.
In the new Insurgency Sandstorm its pretty hard to defend or attack an objetive because there are alot of corners and places to get shot by an enemy. It feels like there are over 100 streets, 100 buildings and roofs without a reason.
It's like every round is about to rush and hope no one will see you lol.

i too think movement is too fast for that kind of game, it should be more slow and tactical

Player movement speed is determined by weight. Faster targets carry less weapons and armor.
