Help I am confused! (Bad FPS rate)
Hi, I seem to be having problems with the frame rate in game I am not sure but I have a I5 7400 3Ghz, 8GB RAM, H110M MSI motherboard, my drive is HDD and a Nvidia GTX 1050, yet I have serious lag issues with 1-20 fps rate. During the Beta 1 testing I didn't have too much of an issue with the frame rate it was running at around 20-40 fps and I was using an i3 6100 that time, just recently I decided to change my cpu in hope of getting a better frame rate but right now when playing the frame rate is much worse than during beta 1. Anyone having issues or is there something I need to do with my PC in order to be able to run Sandstorm?

Oh Heck Aug 30, 2018 @ 10:40pm
Hopefully some optimization passes will fix some of the fps drops. Even on medium i'm getting in the low 40's. i7 2600, 1080 Ti FTW3, 32 gigs ram, SSD.

It doesn't even look that good TBH

I would recommend messing around with the effects setting, things like smoke really make the computer chug.

i dont think so. Got 75 FPS in Squad/PS on Mid/High Settings with supersampling on 1.5
The maps are much bigger and it runs smoothly without ssd
I'm on a Samsung SSD with I7, 16GB of RAM, 970GTX and this game runs like crap... they need to optimize it like there's no tomorrow.

You need more than 8GB of ram, everyone with 8 GB or less won't be able to play this game properly !
There's no way it will work with 8GB.

Just a thought, my cousin was having issues and actually ran better raising settings rather than lowering. He was getting the stuttering as well, mainly when ADS and during big firefights. I'm not saying crank up all settings I'm just saying turning everything to low is not the answer.

Would like to add he did the engine.ini and launch setting edit posted here in the forum then raised some settings and was able to play. It was not perfect but it helped. He is running on an older system FX 8350 and 4gig 390 so I think its worth a mention here.

youre wrong... yes on highest settings you lack with your 8gb of ram and got extremly long loading screens but its definitly playable with 8 GB! maybe you wont get the fps you want on highest settings, but on mid settings there should be no problem with 8 gb ram (4gb should be unplayable, but at least 6gb should be enough to play the game).

ive got an AMD A10-7700 Radeon R7 with 16gb of RAM and with minimum settings i get about 20-30 FPS on most maps, provided theres no enemies, or explosions, or anything really. i've been playing games with this setup for a few years now so im used to tato FPS's, but even then, this games unplayable. I'm definitely gonna stick to vanilla Insurgency for now. (i get about 45-60 FPS on regular Insurgency regardless of how many enemies or explosions.)
