How do I HOST a private game?

Title. I want to use my client to host a server for my friends, just like we do for the original Insurgency. Thanks in advance for any help.

Follow-up ... is this done through forming a "Party" and then using "Local Play"?

That .... is a major downer. No plans to add it I suppose. Very likely this means my crew and I will not be purchasing.

Run your own server, not that hard. I run one off an older potato PC in a basement, the other is slot rentals hosted for cheap from NFO.

Good advice, thank you @Mamba, don't really want to invest in the hassle of figuring all that out and spending extra $ when old school Insurgency is so easy and free to host. Appreciate it though.

Exactly that is why i asked for a refund. I seen screenshots that said local play didn't know local play was single player only. I will be asking my friend that i bought the game for to refund their copy as well. Which they will more then likely do. This game is a broken mess.
