It's the repair tool of Windows for corrupt data.
For PUBG it self follow the steps below.
Uninstall/reinstall PUBG
Sometimes issues occur where files are corrupted, permissions aren’t set correctly, or certain aspects of the game aren’t installed correctly. To fix this we need to completely uninstall PUBG and associated files.
1 Uninstall PUBG
Go to your Steam library
Right Click on PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS and select Uninstall
A windows will pop up asking for confirmation, click on Delete
2 Remove associated files
Press Windows Key+R
Type in %localappdata% and then press Enter or OK
Delete the folder TslGame
Navigate to Program Files (x86)\Common Files\BattlEye and delete the file BEService_pubg.exe
Navigate to Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common and delete the folder PUBG
In Steam go to Settings>Downloads and click on CLEAR DOWNLOAD CACHE
Restart Steam
3 Reinstall PUBG
Also, would be nice to know your specs pls because some people had trouble with the new PCI-E 4
"PUBG Corp suggested the following:-
Goto C:/Program Data/Common Files/PUBG and run "unistall.exe"
After the black window has closed (cmd), restart the computer, when you restart it returns to the same folder and delete the driver (navagio.sys). When you open the game, an alert will appear asking for disk access, press no and the game will open without that annoying driver
The last step of denying access to the disc you will have to do every time you open the game.
I do not have this file on my PC so I am at a loss."
Most steps of that are done within a couple of minutes. The download of PUBG takes most time, depends on the speed of his inet. It's necessary to exclude corrupt game data. We have plenty of reasons why games crashes since years.
Will load game, normally gets through the lobby but will crash once plane begins its run. Started as an occasional problem, now every game.
Internet, Office 365, GSuite all run fine all the time.
"Among us" runs fine through steam, but Tarkov seems to have the same problem.
Stress tested the GPU with Heaven etc, Pass
I ran MEMTest86 on the RAM, I had a bad stick which i swapped out for the exact same age and type and re ran the test. Pass.
I ran the Intel test on the CPU. Pass
Capslock light does come on when the game is in its "crashed state", which is a black or grey screen (no blue screen).

Some troubleshoot steps are already above. You don't need to reinstall the game because you also have it in others games too. You just need to find the reason for it.
You need to use different drivers for your gtx.
Alright. This wont "cure" the problem, but it will lessen the pain by a factor 100
Here, get the sysinternals suite
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/
Extract it somewhere on your PATH. <- If that sentence is gibberish to you unzip it into c:\windows <- systemroot is always on the path.
Now press windows+r
you will get a "run" box. Type this :
pskill <enter>
a box with some license stuff appears, its a one-time only thing. Press ok/agree.
NOW. NEXT time the game crashes and you have the black screen, press
windows + r
You cant see it, but behind the black screen is the run dialog
Now you type
pskill tslgame <enter>
And you should be back at your desktop.
This is a little trick that will get you out of many situations not only PUBG, but you have to know what the executables name is ahead of time, in our case, tslgame.exe (you can type "pskill tslgame" or pskill "tslgame.exe" both will work.
Now you have a chance at debugging your issue, update drivers, kill other tasks running before launching pubg.
Happy hunting.
no will not work, completely locks up
Then you are indeed well and proper s*'ed... Eventviewer report anything at the time of the crash?
Patches are literally a spin the wheel of wether it will make the game run better, worse or not at all.
Dont listen to lega, your wasting your time trying to fix problems that bluehole HAVE created (and have done historically).
My game now regularly crashes (again), buildings/people continue to occasionally not render and best of ALL, PARACHUTES are now silent and sometimes enemy parachutes dont render at all which makes dropping a total hoot.
Slow clap for bluehole.......... i await the next patch with baited breath.
Look at Apex, we don't have any important features and it isn't the first shooter of them either so the game is overall less complex and shouldn't have so many issues. Still, it has more issues for me as PUBG.
I don't have any crashes nor render issues so my game works as it should.
I just see the same pattern where unexperienced developers like Tarkov, which is in beta even before PUBG did release, "2016", or many others, struggle to solve problems.
Even many Triple A studios aren't really better. In that case, it's not question about experience, it is a question about time and wrong pressure to release things. Not even the best devs can create solid games fast.
As long they still work on the game and trying to fix it, I don't see any reason to complain.
Time is to short for it but it's up to you how you wanna see it.
