did you campare your 7.1 with stereo headset in PUBg?
Thankee!
used the program for 6 months now , with multiple games and works great...
specially for games like this ...
you can buy a expensive 7.1 headset or if you want something cheaper that does the same thing , check out the program ...
i know a 7.1 headset is probably better , but this program does the job very well ,
good enough for me
At home, I have an expensive Logitech 7.1 surround sound headset. On the road, I'm using ear buds that came with my cell phone. Besides clearer treble and base, they both sound exactly the same in locating shot direction. The Logitech doesn't sound any better.
So no, there is no support for it yet.
tried this soft, and it did not made any significant chages for sound positioning with stereo headset
Maybe some people already have,
Stereo works fine for me.... i can usually tell where shots/vehicles are coming from
Is there plans for future to add 7.1 surround support in PUBg?
In general, you're better off staying with a quality 2.1 headset than screwing around with 7.1. Whatever marketing language 7.1 headsets use, they're a waste of money.
Any notion you have about sound above, below, front or back, is all synthesized within your brain. That's your brain doing it. Surround sound in a headset is useless. Surround sound in a physical room (such as a theater) is about where you are physically positioned in relation to the sound source. So in a large room, if you're positioned left-rear from the screen, then your experience of the sound will be different than someone who is seated right-front.
Ask anybody who does sound engineering -- especially foley work -- about this and they will tell you that 7.1 in a headset is just a gimmick. I have field recorders that I've taken into situations like Grand Central Station, with mics set up to mimic how human ears work positionally. That is just two channel audio output to two channel headset, but you can clearly tell what direction sound is coming from. Because the spatial expansion of that sound happens in the mind.
