Second of all, you outta try the White Night mod for Amnesia. There's amateurish voice acting aplenty in the first bit, but I seriously thought I might come close to having a heart attack playing it. http://www.moddb.com/mods/white-night
Thankfully, there aren't a great deal of jumpscares in it because jumpscares are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ if used more then a couple of times. They're lazy and bleh.
The ones that are there, however, are top-notch. It's a mod that does horror right, i.e. relies on atmosphere and keeps you in the dark without a clue as to what's really going on and a feeling that something might creep up behind you at any moment, instead of pitching you headlong into a series of cheap stupid "OOGABOOGAWOOGA!" moments.
It's a bit hit-and-miss, however. Some puzzles aren't that well designed and it relies a little too heavily on moments almost pulled straight from the SIlent Hill games. But Copying SIlent Hill games does, at least, put it about twenty steps above Slender.
I know calling it "Scarier than Slender" might sound like damnig with faint praise, but seriously, it's worth a look.
