When does the mason start working?
I built a mason's workshop and staffed it fully, but they don't really seem to want to do anything. i've got castle walls with scaffoldings, showing that it's been damaged, but the mason doesn't really seem to want to go and fix it. :/

well, the mason was only two tiles away from the wall where i built it, so i don't think so.

The masons have to go out and get stone to complete repairs, so if you don't have any stone or it's really far away repairs could take a long time.

It doesnt work for either, I have a mason fully staffed, Ive got over 100 stone, and it's pretty close to the wall that needs repairing. I think thr mason could use a job list, maybe also a progress bar because I have no idea what its even doing. I just tore down the wall and rebuilt it, but its quite a waste of resources.

I am a bit disappointed that they only repair walls damaged by ogres.

Masons repair walls or buildings damaged by ogres, Viking ship catapults, and falling dragons. They do not fix destroyed items. Fire either destroys an item or does no damage, so they do not repair items after fires.

There currently is no way to watch their progress. If you click on the mason's building, you can watch them all hang out there all the time. But damaged items still get repaired.

If the wall or building is reduced to rubble, they won't fix it. If there are cracks in it, they will fix it. When a mason is assigned to the job, scaffolding appears around the first floor of the wall/building. When the scaffolding goes away, it is repaired.

I think their range is the whole map. Having more masons results in more items being repaired simultaneously.

@GreyBeard512 Thank god for this guy lol I had no idea what I was doing with masons, I kept trying to get them to repair rubble and didn't understand why they weren't doing anything

Keep in mind that there are only two workers per Mason building (if I remember correctly). If you want quicker repairs, you are going to have to build a fair number of Mason buildings.
