Think Fire Pro Wrestling World was the best wrestling game surprise of 2017? Well, hold on to your clutch timing because I heard through the grapevine that a certain European developer has been pursuing the rights to bring a King of Colosseum port to Steam later this year.

Now, unless they’ve been working at this since early 2016 I don’t see how the timeline is feasible but that’s not the exciting part about this rumor anyway. I know a guy who knows a girl who knows a guy and instead of a straight up port (for a variety of reasons) their side of the story is that the project in question is actually an entirely new game using an unlicensed fantasy roster.

A “spiritual successor” to KoC 2 made for a western audience. Stranger things have happened....

I'm taking it with a grain of salt and not giving my hopes up. I'd be all for it if it's true and ends up being as awesome of an update to the KoC games as Fire Pro World has been to the Fire Pro Franchise. Not counting on it though, and FPW:W at the moment is MORE than enough for me at the moment in terms of wrestling games. Still countless hours of fun to be had here.

That comes across as we're meant to know who they are without it being explicitly said, a bit odd.

I am happy for any solid wrestling games. wrestling games have been in such a drought for almost 10 years. with only wwe games being released. i used to enjoy having fire pro, koc, aspw to choose from. there are options now liek mdickie games and pro wrestling x but i think they suck very bad in terms of gameplay. id love a koc 3 or one like it but updated with a workshop like fire pro world. i really wish there was a new all star pro wrestling 4 with njpw and roh. or a touken retsuden 5 with njpw and roh. the more the better.

I don't think king of colliseum 3 would happen without spike pretty much announcing and a " European dev" having their hands on it seem farfetch because spike are the owner of that series who own both fire pro as well KOC This game has to succed b4 we get a 3d wrestling game and so far the franchise has yet to surpass the 1 million sales so far. to warrant a actual

releasse of KOC 3
