Turn Based "Beta"
Hello all,

I bought this game when it went on sale a while ago. I really didn't enjoy the way combat was. I would much prefer turn based and noticed it states "beta". Should I wait for it to come out of beta or does it run smooth enough to play the whole game with it.

Well I've played the entire game from level 1 to 20 and all the side quests and dlc on turn based, and had an absolute blast. So id say it's good to go. It's in beta because some things are open to change for balancing reasons, and any obscure bug fixes. So it's basically a warning that don't freak out if you found some crazy good exploit in an ability combo and then it gets nerfed in an update

I'm playing for the first time in turn based. Its fully playable but still needs some balancing.

It is damn good now! It is BETA, so not perfect but damn it is good game now.

There's still some bugs like guard and civilians getting into your fights when they shouldn't but it doesn't happen every time and as long as you quicksave often you should be ok. I had to quickload a couple fights 2 or 3 times before the guards and stuff didn't get involved but it's only happened twice.

I'd say the turn based mode is playable but incomplete. I'm having so much fun with it but I can see the glaring flaws. Don't be afraid to dive right into it, if you can't stand the RTWP, but the RTWP was fine last I checked. :)

The game still tends to get stuck on "Waiting" and being impossible to finish your turn and end combat. It gets very frustraiting on longer fights - forcing you to replay them from scratch.

Having a blast and can not only enjoy the story, but the combat side of the game now. RTwP is a mess.
