When are we getting the option to change them. as a left-hander the game is useless to me atm

Yeah it can be frustrating. We won't have remapping in for a bit so we're going to provide a workaround for anyone who wants to change their keys.


Download: Controls XML [www.dropbox.com]

Make your changes, most of what you'll need will be under:

<actionmap name="player">

Place the XML file into:

Steam\steamapps\common\CollisionCourse\Assets\libs\Config

You'll need to create libs and Config folder.

Remember to back it up because the Steam update will remove it. If you ever want to go back to the default controls just delete that XML.

We apologize this isn't ideal but it's better than not being able to play until we get the remapping in properly.

I can't change "WASD" keys for arrows with "Controls XMS". I changed in the doc but no changed in game !!! When i use xbox controller the game freeze after a certain time !
I returned to starting point !
If you know how to rebinding keys with the doc, please help me.

You want WASD to map to the keyboard arrow keys or?

Yes I want to replace "WASD" by the arrows but it is still "WASD" that are still in function !

I have successfully changed the Keyboard mapping:

w to up
a to left
s to down
d to right
interact to space (pickup)
lights to enter
run to right shift (rshift)
crouch to right ctrl (rctrl)
jump to middle mouse (mouse3)
2nd attack to right mouse (mouse2)
zoom to numberpad 0

Game for me runs much better now.

After placing the file in Assets..

.what do U do to change each key? Where exactly?

In defaultProfile.xml look for <actionmap name="player">

Everything you need to change will be under that. Each <action> tag will show the keyboard and xbox controller input.

Great stuff! This removes 1 of 3 suggestions I had :) Will try it and also see if I can map the mouse buttons with the mouse software.
