Pavlov PC or Shack?

I got now a Quest 2 and maybe buying Pavlov Shack. Already got the PC Version but i dont want to play with Link Cable.. Airlink is a bit complicated a.t.m.

Is shack the same? Mods? PavZ? Players?

If you don't wish to use airlink, you can use SteamLink, Virtual Desktop, ALVR etc.
PC version is much better in my opinion - much more maps, much better graphics, up to 24 players, better playerbase (shack is just kid fest).

Pavlov Shack core gameplay is the same as on PC, but with worse graphics compared to PC. It looks and runs good for standalone VR. There's 24 slots community servers, but performance takes a hit. Maybe it's a bit better on Quest 3.
Some mods are exclisive to PC due to bigger scale. There's also Contractors on Quest, with a lot of mods made for standalone.
Playerbase is bigger on Shack because it's made for standalone, and not everyone has a good PC for VR gaming.
I personaly prefer Pavlov on PC even after buying it on my Quest 2.

Why Airlink is complicated? It's native for Oculus Quest. Ony things you have to do is set up resolution properly: when helmet conneted to the PC set 90hz and maximum resolution that your pc can handle... 5400 is the best. also run C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-diagnostics\OculusDebugTool.exe and set Render Resolution Width to 3680 - it will give you clear picture. And on the Quest airlink side set 200Mbit vbr.

Pavlov Shack have very poor graphics, and have no cheaters at all. But now Pavlov PC got cross platform and expanded player base. Pavlov PC is perfect now. Only Pavlov PC, if you have powerful PC. Shack is for travel play only.

i already ordered a Access Point with 5GhZ, because our Internet Router only can 2,4 GhZ and i got a slow internet connection

Pavlov PC if you want better game modes and mods plus better graphics. The only big perk in my opinion to getting the Shack version is that so many more players on that one... But also it's a lot of kids who make you want to leave the lobby while screaming at the top of their lungs.

Up to you, I have both and only play Shack when I have my Quest 3 away from the PC. Side note.. If new to Quest, buy a 20MHz charging battery pack you can put in your pocket and a short cable to run to the headset... I bought an Anker one for $20 and it gives me 6+ hours more of playtime.

Shack has a much more active player base then PCVR, along with a couple of more entertaining mods. PCVR lacks players as most of the PCVR player base are those who have jobs, and aren't able to play during the week. Although if you get on the weekend, it's pretty packed. For shack, it's active most of entire week.
