Friends list not updating

For a few days now my friends list hasn't updated. I can add people and they can add me but they won't show up on my friends list. I can still be invited and join their lobbies, but I just can't see/join them on my friends list. I can only see people I previously added before this bug.

Issue still persisting. Sucks not being able to join anyone on my own!

I have found that if you leave the social window open for a few minutes that it will populate. Also some friends that I have added before have been dropped from the friends list and I have had to readd them from the recent players tab.

Steam friends list might be set to private or friends only in privacy setting. Check if it is, and change it to public.

Social tab worked for me after I changed my setting and restarted my game
