Emergency Tactical Briefing - Planet Defense Strategy

Super Earth has developed a new tactical strategy to use Helldivers.

The Xzar Sector's planets Mantes and Draupnir are under threat from the Automatons.

This strategy will use low level equipment, so all Divers can implement it.

The planet defense missions require you to escort civilians to the escape shuttle, as waves of enemies attack.

Your team will be divided into two groups. Two DoorDivers and two AA Divers.

Door Divers job is simple. Each DD stays on one of the two civilian doors, and spams the button to release civilians as much as possible. Guard and lockdown the area and keep pumping out civvies as fast as the button will allow you. Your least experienced HellDivers should take this role, as it is more suitable for them.



DoorDiver Loadout:

Machine Gun

Gatling Sentry or Expendable Anti-Tank

Machine Gun Sentry or Mortar Turret

Orbital Precision Strike or Eagle Air Strike



Hold down your area with your machine gun and turrets, and pump out civvies. Deploy your turrets strategically, and use your bombardment call in if things get too dicey near your door. The mortar sentry is excellent for this defensive role. Expendable Anti-Tank can help if anything armored happens to get to your position. Spam the civy door button, and hold your ground against any enemies.



AA Divers job is simple. You will be the Anti-Air team, and destroy Automaton dropships before they can deploy any troops. Target one of the dropship's four engines on its sides with your Recoilless Rifle to take them down. You can each take a separate recoilless rifle, or do team reloads for way faster shots. Your more experienced Divers should take this role. Destroy all dropships, unleash bombardments, protect the perimeter, and protect the Door Divers as they do the objective.

This strategy should get you to be able to complete up to a Level 4 planetary defense mission. Strategy not tested at Level 5 and above, use at own risk.
