Helldivers 2: Balancing, Discord, Bugs, Anti-Cheat. What a mess.

Server is on lock until further notice. Since a small minority of people can't behave like adults and have decided to mass spam every channel to the point of making them unusable, you've now all lost the privilege to use the server for a few hours while we clean up.

This is a lesson on how to NOT communicate with your community. I wasn't even participating in the spam since I was already in a group playing a game, and was only told "Look what happened in the Discord." The tone being used by this "CM" is insulting. I think someone needs some work on being a game community manager.

If you need to lock down the server, then just say that and state the reason why. Don't insult people's maturity, and then imply collective punishment. Seriously, completely out of touch.

This game has been disaster after disaster. Between HD server issues, to Steam server issues. I don't understand why developers keep programming their games to be so strongly locked to Steam's servers that their own games go down every time Steam has any issues or maintenance. People are sick of developers doing this.

Game's balance is ridiculous. Reaching levels of unfun. The game gives you tools, like the expendable AT on a short cooldown... but even that isn't enough at higher difficulties when you get so many bile-titans and chargers. The spawn rate of all the monsters needs to be looked at, especially bile-titans and chargers if they are not to be nerfed. If the spawn rates are not going to be adjusted, then our current weaponry needs to be buffed to to account for how many high-armored targets there are. Seriously insane that our only solution is railgun + AT turret spam. Being forced to use the same stratagems that have a chance to one shot. Why the hell are chargers/titans even allowed to come out of breaches?

Seriously. Fix your game, and your community management. This game has good potential and frankly I'm getting tired of having to run from 2 bile titans and 5 chargers waiting on orbital/plane cooldowns that may or may not have a chance to 1-shot.

The tone of "Lost your privilege" as if he or the company through their good graces gave us a discord server comes off as being pretty petty.

Like, you are employed because customers pay the company that pays you.

I'm not saying they were right to spam but the way that was handled by that CM was really bad.

I didn't even know what happened until a friend pointed it out. I went to go look while respawning and got pretty upset at how they were essentially talking down to everyone.

As someone who worked in a service industry, just because you are a customer doesn't mean you're allowed to come in and ♥♥♥♥ on the floor just because you give them money.

That being said though this whole situation is blown out of proportion because a Mod @'d everyone because people posted some F's in chat. So everyone started posting more. Then they started locking channels so people moved to other ones and it just kept going because the mod's kept putting their foot down.

There's a difference between discussing the game being ♥♥♥♥ and memeing on a community mod for being a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. This situation is the latter.

I hope they do not mess with this supposedly "unbalanced" game till I get to experience it first hand and make up my own mind. I hate how communities shape the balance that not everyone felt needed changing.

I mean sure, but it's still not even close to the situation with CA. They'll unlock the discord when people settle down.

Sounds like you're just complaining to me my dude. Would you prefer they let people spam the discord or something? The discord IS a privilege. It isn't something they have to do, so those people that were spamming caused us all to lose the privilege.

And you weren't even aware of anything going on until it was pointed out to you? LOL. Talk about getting upset over nothing. I bet if no one told you anything you would have never known anything happened.

If you still haven't gotten there yet, idk what to say. The changes need to have been made ASAP because it's not fun unless you strictly want to be running certain weapons.

Like, I don't want to run Railgun... I love my auto-cannon but by god. Running into more than 1 charger, or a bile-titan, and all I can do is sprint and hope my very specific stratagem calldowns can 1-shot them, because their cooldowns are insane. As well, hope that any other bugs that get disturbed while I'm sprinting around don't summon more during their bug breeches.

I can understand what a moderator did wasn't great but this "community backlash" is just rather pathetic. What a thing to get mad over.
