Gamebreaking respawn bug in the new patch.
Twice it happened yesterday where one of my squad members was unable to be reinforced. We can drop the reinforce stratagem but after a couple seconds it just disappears, leaving them dead for the rest of the mission. Yes we did have reinforce tokens left, many of them.

We tried all dying at once to see if that fixed it but it merely respawned the two that the bug wasn't affecting, but more strangely spawned them way back where the bugged person originally died. (which was across the whole map)

This is kinda a catastrophically awful bug that can completely ruin a mission, and most certainly ruins the mood.

can confirm, this isn't so much of a unicorn issue. it's happening all the time for me when I play with steam friends and not randos.
i know that sometime your stuck in water and wont die..your teamate need to kill you for respawn if that help
I've only had it happen once where we couldn't respawn a dead teammate but when we all died the game just... sat there. No automatic reinforcement. Nothing. The "lost" helldiver tried to hold a grenade to his ear and it didn't even kill him.

This has happened a couple of times to me.
had this happen as well.

reinforcement stratagem does nothing for one person then next map 3/4 couldn't respawn. Everyone dying only spawned in one person automatically...
Just happened to 2 out of 4 of us during a mission.

Why is this a feature
I hate to be that guy

But this has been happening since release. It ain't new.

The specific reason for it is when you're killed by something of such force that your body clips the terrain and something snaps. You are lost to the dirt now. Obviously there's no prevention method for it, apart from not dying lol.

It doesn't help that fighting Stalkers near water is a great way to cause this glitch (with their mid-range ragdoll whip attack).

Beta testing this game is really starting to suck

It doesn't help that fighting Stalkers near water is a great way to cause this glitch (with their mid-range ragdoll whip attack).

Chargers against rocks also have a habit of stomping you into the terrain. That's been my greatest source of it.

Hellbombs also blow you into the wall if you're standing near one.

This only happened to me once during the first week of the game. Guess it's still in the game
we been setting to private and a;t+F4ing it to rejoin
I seriously cant grasp how theyre ignoring all the crashes and server issues while pumping out new content. Horrible priorities... Like why would I even get the new warbond if I cant play and earn medals to unlock stuff? Its baffling to me...

:v because the warbond content, mechs, etc were already developed.

The crashes take time to diagnose and triage, compile into a solution, and then ship.

Most devs wont release new stuff if it also brings in more bugs and crashes.... Before that I had 0 crashes.

You still aren't understanding. Here's what probably happened:
The game went gold, shipped.
They had content they intended to ship on a schedule.
They continued working on the version of the game that was post gold.
They released that content on the schedule.
Now we have whatever it is we have.

They didn't sit down and decide "Let's release some broken crap". There was a series of events that lead to that - and part of that series of events is launching content they had already created on a schedule they had already decided on.
