lol no its not the two aren't even that similar the only thing you can say they have in common are bugs and soldiers and by that logic every game with bugs and soldiers is a copy of starship troopers extermination

this argument isn't even worth continuing, really not trying to be toxic but literally any point you bring up about HD2 being a copy of that game wont be valid

It's supposed to be a parody of Starship Troopers. And admittedly, this game is a lot better than that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Starship Troopers game.

Helldivers released long before any of the recent Starship troopers games.
It had the same enemies, and if anything you could look at the bugs as an homage to the movies, but that's really all it is.

If you got mad at that, you'd have to get mad at a number of games that did the exact same thing, like Half Life 2
