PSN Account Required?

hey the story so far thing says I need a PSN Account in order to play this game. I dont have a PSN account so can somebody tell me if i need to make a PSN account or not just to play?

I'm so tired of games that need you to use an other account to play them.

Will this at least let me play the game both on the ps4 and on pc?

If it enables crossplay i have np with it, bigger playerbase and game won't die so easily.

They will be working on a cross save. It wont be out at launch however.

This is incorrect.

The Discord FAQ states you do not need PS+ to play on PC, and says you do if you're on PS5. Regardless of that, you DO need a PSN account (which, by itself is free to make) to play the game on PC.
