Getting reported and losing Karma

No, you won't be able to find out who reported you. Don't worry too much about it though. It's meaningless and does nothing. It just provides a way for angry players to vent.

Usually the ones reporting are the ones who get pissed when the mission doesn't go their way. If I see someone just doing a AFK I will turn right around and destroy their ship and take the bad karma hit.

You are also forgetting the players who report anyone playing a CV just on general principle (I think CV mains take this as a badge of honor though).

As even a mod is stating clearly, reports are useless. Toxic players who ruin games never get punished and neither do those who abuse the report system and submit fake reports. There is no protection for players, in fact the game goes to some length to protect abusers by limiting the number of reports that can be submitted against them, even if the reports are going to be ignored anyway.

So if you got reported unfairly, tough luck, nobody is going to help you. If you got reported because you ruined the game for everyone else in your team, feel free to keep doing that since there are no consequences.

If all you want is karma, just find a couple of other players and pad it as much as you want. And don't play CV lol.

Little bit wrong info here. Yes there is consequences, they're just not terribly harsh, but they do accelerate. First they'll just take toxic people out of chat for 3 days, then it's longer etc. Eventually you WILL get banned, but admittedly, it does take a lot. Obviously they'd rather not ban people as banned people don't spend money ;)

You also can't pad karma by getting with a couple of players because you can't report or complement people you are in or have been in a division with.

Unfair reports can be contested, but so far I've never heard of someone who got banned who didn't break the rules. Not sayin' it never happened... Just every person who comes here complains about it ends up admitting they did something they weren't supposed to, they just feel that they were punished unfairly for being obnoxious in some way.

On 1132 karma here. Its a meaningless stat in almost every way, but if you play well and are nice to people then you shouldnt be losing karma. Sometimes people will just randomly -1 you but it doesnt really matter unless you had been doing something the chat filter picked up.

I wear my chat ban with honor. Ranked is the place to look for if you want to lose karma as a CV player btw, everyone will blame you for the loss, you can literally have ~70% WR in CVs in ranked and people will report you for "playing poorly".

the only thing this negative karma does is self perpetuate more toxicity within the matches.
if somebody wants to report , they should submit a ticket through official channels only.
the negative karma , imo , should be removed , if you got nothing nice to say - then say nothing at all.
there`s already enough cr@p flying about without having to enabled those who can be - Never Satisfied.
it is , imo , a function that Needs to be removed , for the sake of a (hopefully) healthier community.

It's actually there FOR a healthier community. It does nothing to the person reported, and the reporter feels like they accomplished something. It also keeps Wargaming's staff from being inundated with ridiculous and frivolous reports. If that happened, they'd inevitably start ignoring them because there'd be too much work for too few people and then legitimate reports would get ignored, thereby harming the community.

i`d feel very safe in saying , that the players who behave in that fashion - Don`t Care about karma At All..
that the negative aspect of it is something they`re Happy to abuse , which only generates more of the same .
my only reason for touching on this subject is to point at the "ill will" the negative part of the karma system creates , for , those who are lacking in self worth .
also feel very safe in saying that the , negative "Spammers", would`nt bother themselves with submitting BS tickets in an effort to bolster their own BS sense of - self worth.

i mean you dont accomplish something by reporting someone for "playing poorly" so yeah it dosent makes this person less likely to get good MM and you cant change your partners on the current match.

Listen put in some Lennon, Instant Karma in and take it up the......like everyone else. They will dekarma ya to dekarma ya. They will de karma ya for saying hello. Its gotten silly and a useless system. Even the best players have a bad match, or something goes wrong. Just don't play against my DD daughter, get her upset she will torp you.

Try playing lepanto an watch your karma go, gained 7 karma which would put me to 21 karma, but sitting on zero thanks. These people stating having so much karma come play asia server that will deplete quicker then you can ever gain for majority of people. You say hello lose karma, you win the game an say gg to your team mates not enemy cause thats almost guarantee loss of karma, lose karma. You come on top of leaderboard lose karma, you acutely kill enemy cv lose karma, you kill a enemy DD thats a 50/50 to losing karma, you kill a enemy but your team mate beleives that should be their kill lose karma, it's almost comedy now haha.

What annoys me is yeah it's meaningless stat, but the karma i received I had to pull some crazy feats of strength in games to get those only to lose it to bitter players either on your team or reds.

Simple fix if person found false complaints double the penalty back on that person, taking double karma points an if they abuse the communication report give them a temporarily 3 day full account ban. It won't completely fix it but I'm sure as hell people wont be so liberal on the report buttons.
