And you know what this means : the playerbase splitting beggin.
Buying the DLC is now completelly useless because the pool of player that could join you on these map in QM has been dramatically shrunk.
Not only these DLC are just poorly thought out (2 or 3 maps instead of real subchapters of 3 maps +1 boss map) but now you can be sure to never end up on them on QM, or having to play with bots.
But hey, it's not like if ANYONE with a braincell called that out when V2 was announced, and asked for either REAL extension pack, or something OTHER than map pack to be monetized, because monetizing maps is the best way to kill a coop game like Vermintide.
Can you imagine Killing Floor 2 or PayDay 2 with paywalled maps?
OF COURSE not. But here we are, on Vermintide 2, having to pay for port of a handfull of maps from the first game (apprently bringing all the maps in a single DLC wasn't a good idea).
Welp. I had my hope, I kept hopping for the game to go the right way, to not make the same mistake the first game make, to deliver real expensions with new characters and enemy types. Hell, I even upgraded to collector just to support the devs, but I'm done now.
Good Job FatShark, you had to drop the ball, and you dropped it the worst way possible.
and the worst part is that is that i have to download 7gb of stuff i cant play. i agree on not being able to host but at least let me do a quick search and join a random playing the maps
I will buy it anyway, but I think other players should be able to join.
I´m watching FS-Stream right now, not only the maps are clones, the objectives are too!
Never bought a DLC for VT1, cuz i waited for a sale that never came, but i CERTAINLY aint gonna buy this, no matter how cheap.
So rather than fix the problem/issue of the QP map-choosing method, you do this.
I'm impressed, I didn't think I could be any further disappointed with this DLC, and you guys managed to deliver.
Big @ to all the bricks in the previous thread who were so happy about this DLC's promises and features, lma0.
You guys, after successive debacles, manage to in one stroke remove one of the things that garnered you the most goodwill (The DLC ownership policy from VT1). I'm legitimately in disbelief that some idiot at your offices thought this would be a good idea.
I guess it was less work than actually arranging QP to favour true random instead of least completed, and that's what you guys seem to be all about lately - less work. PS4 version ain't selling as much as you expected?
You absolute brick.
People complained about Bogenhafen maps because while they could've been decent, having to basically spend the first two weeks playing NOTHING but them gets very old, very quick.
So instead of managing the QP around that, FS decides to just ♥♥♥♥ over the playerbase - because let's be real, bricks like you would defend anything they do. The best part is, AFTER the problem, they decide to also retroactively do this to Bogenhafen maps as well. Absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unbelievable, Fatshark. You only had one possible way of getting this as a whole wrong, and you're doing it in the most spectacular fashion.
Anyway, DLC maps should be in quickplay for everyone, keep achievements and cosmetics for owners is ok.
Yep, its more like a Mass Effect 3 DLC where you play Mass Effect 1 but on 3´s engine.
Gamboy Colour´s are pretty cheap nowadays too. Question is, who still wants them. As in form of a Gaming Console for regular use.
The programm cannot be started, the D3DCOMPILER_47.dll is missing on this Computer.
Install the programm again to solve the problem.
Yo ... downloaded the patch and now I get this message. Before the update everything was fine :-/
People just dont understand that those guys are qual to a toddler when it come to work and even porting 3 maps shows that its way too much work for them.
You also forgot the number 1 rule for Warhammer games to not expect much.
Ah, so rather than actually increase the value of your DLCs, you lower everyone else's value so the DLC's seem grander than they are. More importantly, retroactively so (Bogenhafen).
Gotcha. Interesting enough, especially since BtU, recycled maps aside, actually has more value in terms of weapons and illusions for them than any of the previous ones - so all of this is very questionable, fishy and quite frankly, disgusting.
But hey, plenty of people seem to support it, so just ignore my disgruntlement. FS seems to have mastered the art of ignoring voices that aren't direct boot-licking ever since the February/March debacle.
Yeah... so basically because you decided to roll with an obviously poor business model, you are now removing value from people who bought the game with the certainty to still be able to access DLC map via QM even if they don't buy them.
Why don't you just sell us skin in real money or something and keep maps free for everyone?
Or why not releasing new heroes and make them paid or grind to unlock like R6S ?
Splitting the playerbase is the worst kind fo stuff you can do to a game like Vermintide.
