A swine for a hat is not a new concept to WHF. =) If I remember the story somewhat correctly there was a hedgewizard who claimed he had willed a pig atop his head, but he'd simply glued it there.

This is somewhat paraphrased from a hazy memory but it's a thing.

Seriously? One hedge wizard claimed he had pig atop his head in some rare story and now its ok to use it as cosmetic? What the hell.

It wasn't a tall tale, it was just a pig glued to a wizard's head.

But why using it as a cosmetic man? I thought we will stay true to the grim athmosphere of Warhammer and dont do those jokes. If you want to go the joke route, them implement greenskins, they are the funny part of Warhammer.

>pay for a pig

they're mocking you.

I personally do not see a problem - it's for Zealot, might be insanity, mental breakdown. That's still on par with WHF, at least for this career.

Great, in that regard, why not let him adopt a squig and excuse it with insanity? Zealots have lost it, thats a given, but they use the insanity to crush chaos, thats their only desire. Its quite compareable with Slayer, who arguably has lost it too, since he just wants to die in battle. But i dont see any cosmetic on him using a pig as hat.

You know that all of these cosmetics have to be approved by GW? So it is not like they are unloreful or "untrue" to the WHF atmosphere. Also why do some people stretch the "Grim" nature of WHF if it comes from tabletop gaming where you paint your units in a colourful manner. And did you take a look at some of these? Part of them look goofy and cartoony, especially the Skaven ones. I mean the whole concept of Skaven is kinda goofy.

WHF is more as just being "Grim".

Frankly, i am not sure anymore if GW is actually still involved in this project. Do you have any proof that GW has to apporve anything at this point?

Also, the lore is grim. People painting their goblins pink doesnt have anything to do with the lore.

Both guys have hats with thick nails piercing their heads... You can't really decide what goes into the insanity bucket, because it affects also perception of surroundings. Someone/something (ex. religion) is capable of giving such unit a sense of direction - redempting yourself by slaying Chaos.

Also not every Zealot or Slayer have to be crazy, but in Saltz's case his devotion to Sigmar and events he went through could lead to that.

That's how I see it.

I can confirm that everything we do still has to be approved by Games Workshop. :)

You never heard of Chaos Pigs? They're in a not so well known sourcebook from the early 80's.

Can we get a Chaos Pig portrait please?

Yes. I agree. GW is the kind of company that likes to keep really close to their licenced IP.
