So if we got dual hammers....
So dual hammers. Werent they only used by slayer? If so, how comes we can use them with any class. But we cant use dual axes. Cause id think if the time came they would use dual axes even if there not a slayer.

Never question developers, We've never and will never win.

Because people would be unhappy if dwarf was the only one stuck with a class-specific weapon. He already has more class-specific gear than any other character which would make it even worse.

fatshark kinda gave up on the idea of limiting gear for certain classes and rightfully so, it's just limiting in terms of gameplay, instead they now incentivize using certain weapons based on temp health traits

So lore wise its not uncommon for some dwarfs besides slayers to use a weapon in either hand...warhammer fatnasy altohugh fantasy still follows some logical reason and common sense..if there are rangers on a path and they get ambushed by greenskins .....if one the rangers gets killed one of the the other dwarfs might pick up his weapon and fight with 1 in either hand..he can use one to defend and another to strike..if they can use it to kill they will..Just like kerrilians hand axe if she is out of arrows and there is an axe in front of her she is GOING to pick up that axe to defend herself..using this logic compared to our world will help this make a bit more sense...
Lets be honest : DLC owner would cry like hell if they were slayer only

Return to Ubersreik DLC. Completing the three maps as Bardin will unlock you the blueprint to build them, and getting enough kills with them will get you their two illusions.
It's all in Okri's book, but you do need the DLC to get the weapons.

They addressed this question directly in one of the recent streams. Slayer has no ranged so they tuned the twin axes slightly higher and therefore cannot be used on other careers, think it was fatshark Tim who said it.

TBH.
1. FS should made 2h hammers for Slayer.
2. FS should made volley gun for other dorf careers.
3. Creativity of DLC weapons is at 1/10. Where Gungrossmesser for Vik, something actually original and not "now everyone has 2x weapons".

I still have mixed feelings about everyone getting a dual wield option. It's cool and fun, but I feel like it will become cheese REAL damn quick. It struck me as odd that Sienna got the most interesting weapon, maybe an an appology for beam nerf. Instead of dual wield I would have rather seen some cross class stuff to make it more interesting. Like maybe Spear for Kruber, glaive for Saltz, maybe xbow all elf subclasses can use. It would actually make sense for Krub and Saltz. Spears were traditional hunting weapons for dangerous animals. Saltz's entire life is about punishing the wicked heretics, what better way to do it than taking their head off with a gigantic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ axe.

Its somewhat easier to deliver interesting Mage weapon as those use handicap of sorts. Lesser cleave, bad block recovery after push for fast pinches and armor piercing that compliments most staves area effect and decent dodge. Feels strong and in her armory - unique.
3x dualwields are... well i like how double hammers look on short meat cube. Manlings deserved better.

dual hammers are in every way worse than dual axes for some reason
do less damage swing slower and lack ap.

almost like they fear that if you give dual axes to other careers nobody will play slayer...

Slayer would still see a lot of play because he's op - ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of mobility, takes half damage if taking oblivious to pain, easy upkeep on 30% more power and more. Dual hammers are fine as an alright option if you want to have fun. They aren't terrible by any means, and not everything has to be over-the-top murder everything tier.

30% damage reduction
