When will you add Vulkan support to the Oculus API?
Whenever I switch to Vulkan in the Graphics Settings and the Oculus API is chosen, the Screen turns completely dark in my Rift CV1. If i switch to the the Steam VR api it works but stutters.

The performance in Direct X11 is mostly great but at the later stages when you gib massive amounts of enemies, it sometimes dips under the minimal ASW barrier of 45 fps and starts to judder. I think a low level Graphics API like Vulkan could help with the CPU overhead.

If this is just a fixable bug, please enlighten me!

Specs:Win 10 Pro 64Bit, I7 4790k @4.6Ghz, 16GB 2400MHz DDR3 RAM, EVGA 980ti SC ACX 2.0

The thing is that SteamVR (aka OpenVR) supports both DX11 and Vulkan. If Oculus supported Vulkan, we'd add support for it. But the last I checked, I don't think they have any plans to support it.

Thank you very much for the fast reply. I will ask in the Oculus forums for any plans of Vulkan implementation into the Oculus SDK.

The community manager of Oculus told me that it's on their roadmap. Just so you know. Thanks again! https://forums.oculus.com/community/discussion/51405/will-you-add-vulkan-support-into-the-oculus-api

Excellent. We'll add it when supported then. Good news!

What happens with Fusion in VR right now? As far as I understand, DX9 is going to be removed in favor of Vulkan in Fusion, but I guess you can't remove it until Oculus supports it. So, right now SteamVR uses Vulkan and Oculus uses DX9 in Fusion?

The VR Fusion Versions have the option for Direct X11 (which works in the Oculus Headset) Open GL and Vulkan. I assume, you mean the older Fusion "remasters" of the Flat First and Second Encounter. These don't work in VR anyway.
