SR3 won't launch
When I click launch game the box comes up asking if I want to launch it with DirectX 11 or 9, when I click either of these the box disappears and nothing happens.. Have tried defragging and verifying game cache, any ideas?

I'd say search on google for other people with this problem. Could be an error, could be a hardware problem. Is your pc good enough to play the game? Do you use Windows XP, if so don't use DirectX 11, it whont work. I'd say try reinstalling, that sometimes does the trick.
I got the same problem, I even redownloaded and checked installation ;_;

So what I found is that it crashes with me on DX10 & 11 boot.

Try starting the game in DX9 and see what happens!
(It is not that my laptop cannot handle DX11, it is just that this games decides to crash on it)

I solved it!! Go to Library>right click on Saints Row..>Properties>Local files>verify cache integrity of the game...
Steam starts to check who knows what and dwload some files, when finished you can play ^_^
I did that lots of times ;_;

It may be like mine and never got the saintsrowthethird.exe or saintsrowthethird_dx11.exe files and who knows what else while downloading. The launcher tries to startup one of these depending on which button you click. No idea how to fix.

I don't know if I can but i will post the link here if you need the .exes, because the verify integrity didn't work for that...
