SOLUTION for Game won't start after pressing the PLAY button in the launcher

Hey all.

A lot of people ecountered this problem and we were all hopeless, untill I read a suggestion to change the installation folder of the Black Squad or move it.

This is a solution/guide how to move your Black Squad folder to the new location:

1. Open Steam settings, go to the Download tab, press STEAM LIBRARY FOLDERS

2. In the new window, press ADD LIBRARY FOLDER, put the new folder into the C: disk

3. Go to your Library, right-click on Black Squad, enter the properties and choose the Local Files tab

4. Press Move Install Folder, in the new window choose the newly created folder on the C: disk and press Move Folder button

5. Wait for the moving process to finish, after the process finishes, Steam will check are there any missing files and download if there is one.

Now you should be able to play the game.

I don't know is the problem of D: disk or maybe, because most of the people have their Steam installed in the Program Files (x86)? Maybe you don't need to move the game to the C: disk, maybe you only need to move game to the normal Program Files folder and not the Program Files (x86) folder.

Also this is maybe only related to the Windows 10, but who knows whats the real cause of this problem.

I have windows 10 and steam on D: not working for me

Any advice how one would do this one a windows 7 system? i really dont want to upgrade to 10 atm and it seems so far i was able to copy advice only to a point, steam itself didnt even let me make a new install based folder

Guys and girls, you need to follow every step. If you don't have two partitions (C: and D:) try adding another Steam folder outside Program Files (x86).

If you guys want I'll make a video, it will be much easier for people.

how its described, i created another steam folder specifically for the game on another drive, moved the install to said drive, attempted to play game, did not work, i dont see how that warranted a question, i did as instructed here and still the game did not work for me, plain and simple

What to do when you're on step two and it says "Selected drive already has a Steam library folder. Steam will manage multiple game installs in one folder for you."?

you have to make that on another drive, i use an SSD and a HDD

You need to have at least two partitions or two hard drives in order to add Steam Library folder to another drive and then move the game.

If you don't have at least two partitions of the same hard drive or two hard drives in your PC, then you will not be able to use this solution.

Also, some people say this solution isn't helping them, my advice is to follow my steps correctly, don't skip the steps and don't skip anything that's in the steps.

Follow the guide and you should be able to play it. I did it for the first time too and I was able to play it immedietaly, don't know why it's not helping you guys. Either you didn't follow the guide or this solution will not help everyone.

I followed all the steps and it still did not work. I reinstalled it 2 times and tried this solution again, but still nothing. I do not think that I missed a step, but a video would still be helpful :)
