Help on Custom Sounds (What am I doing wrong?)

I am trying to make custom sounds for the first time (in this case, replacing tank sounds), but I want to make sure if I am doing everything correctly.

1.) I've made sure it is in wav format
2.) bit rate is at 1411 kbps, Sample Rate is 44100 and Mono
3.) all audio is the same length as the original files
4.) put the files in the addons folder like addons/customsoundfortank/sound/player/tank/

I tried using command to create a sound cache but I see errors of unsupported 44100 wave files. I am assuming i did an error of some sort.

is there something I need to do or doing something wrong?

I think your sound needs to be stereo. That's what the default is.

I rechecked the original audio files. its mono on default from what it says.
