i have wanted this game for sometime now and whenever it is on sale (steam sales/weekly sales) i always get excited until i click and its the low violence version. i know alot of people who havent even bothered to play this game because its a low violence version. cmon valve be a mate and hook us aussies up

I highly doubt they are gonna do this. Your best bet is to find an american friend who will gift you the game (meaning you give him the money, he buys you the game). You will get the uncensored version that way, verified, works.

No, you're not the only one, if you use the search feature you would see that this topic comes up 2-3 times a week. They promised they would try, not that they would succeed. They can't just patch it in like you want if you pay a tiny bit extra (do that search for more detail).

I agree with the OP. However, I am not 100% sure on this, but its worth a look around on the net to find more answers. Lets say you get the game, and the Gore is low-- its still worth playing because you still have the co-op gameplay which is very fun. Now, lets say you start playing on modded servers. I am wondering the server has a mod with extra gore, will it give the AU players the same amount of Gore? The other thing I wanted to explain is do not let the lack of gore stop you from getting the game... the fun isn't in the gore, it is in skills and co-op games. For the price how can you go wrong?

We have an R18+ classification now - developers need to man up and use the classification on the suitable products. No way Im paying for a game where you have modded the graphics to treat me like a child.

Furthermore - the R18+ people have jobs and money, we can afford to support the games that cater to us. I might not need the gore but I do need the respect. I dont want being an adult to mean I have less options because you are too busy trying to get sales from kids with no income.

That`s a very good outlook on the situation dude. I`m in Australia and have both version (Edited and Unedited). I think it sux that we get preached too about censorship etc when it`s clearly uncalled for when we`re all mature aged. If you`d like a good (unedited) copy of the game....let me know and add me. I have friends in the US that will gladly help out a mate in need bud :). Look us up if you`d like :D
