Framerate issue, Help?

Hey guys, i've been playing L4D2 for a while now, i stopped playing for like 5 months maybe.
i missed the game, so came back to it. the menu is fine and smooth, but when i start playing the framrate issue starts.
My specs are:

Intel Core i7 3610QM @ 2.30GHz 52 °C

If you take a look at my specs on profile, you'd notice how weak they are. Those you have are fine and aren't the problem. I had framerate drops before, but this was related to steam.exe taking over my CPU for unknown reasons and then it all fixed itself randomly. Maybe you should check if he does the same in task manager.

Anything else i'd suggest is cleaning the registry with CCleaner, Some Defrags, Driver updates, Verifying the cache of the game and finally re-install.

I assume you didn't have fps problems previously? It's just something that's started recently? Also check that your laptop isn't trying to use the integrated gpu instead of the dedicated gpu. Also is the cpu temp taken during load or just whilst idling on desktop? Because if that's idling on desktop, it could also be the cpu downstepping due to thermal issues.

Since you're using a laptop, I would make sure nothing is overheating.

This is one of the reasons why I skipped on laptops and went with building a desktop. It feels like you just have more freedom with homebuilt desktops when it comes to gaming.

im not to sure about your card....i havent heard of it....im running a notebook but my ghz is higher.....i run a intel hd 3000...i3 dual core 2.47ghz, 4gb ram ddr3 and i run every setting on high and my game runs like butter......you may want to turn your anti aniliasing down and see if it helps

I did that, it helped....a bit, but...why did the framrate issue happen all the sudden?
i'm still wondring...

Hey, i know building a desktop is way better, but i prefer using laptop because i have more freedom to move around.

Yes i didn't have an fps problem previously, it just started recently.
How do i check if my laptop isn't trying to use the intergrated gpu instead of the dedicated gpu?
I idle in my desktop all the time.
I close the laptop when i feel that the laptop is slow at going from file to file etc..., or i check the task manager and see the preformance of the memory. when its high i close the laptop, 5 mins later i open it. sorry for my bad English..

UPDATE: i turned of the anti alising, now its really smooth!
