L4D2 crash.Verify Game Cache everytime. Same 7.3mb File

Everytime i want to play, i must run "verify game cache", because after intro, l4d2 crash. it says 1 file failed and downloads a 7.3mb file. Does anyone know what file this is and why it has to be downloaded each time?

You could also try
-novideo or -windowed to see if it'll launch
Ive seen this issue before and other people solved it by reinstalling directx/gfx drivers
Other than that possibly try to reinstal the whole game
If all else fails get a steam support ticket

I get that same filesize every time I have to verify my game cache.
I just get random crashes once in a while when connecting to certain servers, and it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the game cache files. But yes, it's always that 7.3MB file that gets downloaded, even if your cache was okay.
