Thats a universal advice that should be followed in most games that don't have over thousands of servers in a server list.
I will admit,I ignored that, mainly because I was so excited about the game, that I just jumped in as fast as I could.
Any other advices,more related to L4D2 ?
Like...I don't know...something more unique for this particular game.
My advice to you is to give it more time than only 15 minutes, and play single player THEN come play online. Unlike Counter Strike, this game is very coop based and is team focused. In CS if you get killed no one will care or notice since there are 20 players on 1 team and other good players can wipe out the other team. In L4D2, there are only 4 players, and it is very important on how you will play because you will ruin everyone's game if you do whatever you want.
Start with single player campaign until you have 5-6 hours, try online campaign until you can beat expert difficulty and deal with the hordes. Only then try VS. Otherwise, don't expect to stay for longtime in the match, people will notice you don;t know what you are doing and will kick you.
Explain to me how this could be a joke ?
I have a pretty big sense of humour,so I might understand fast, after a more detailed comment.
I must admit another mistake : not playing the single player campaign.
I always played the single player first, before playing multiplayer.
Even in CS:GO,I first completed the weapons course, before playing.
Didn't help much,but it was a start.
I just wanted to check the experience of coop in L4D2...
Thank you, will take that in consideration, next time I will give it the second chance.
I was being sarcastic. It is just that I find it funny that you are surprised for being kicked after joining a multiplayer VS as your first try of the game. Basically you do not know anything about this game, how it works, what weapons there are and how to use them effectively, how to clear hordes and special infected, what to do on tanks or special events, etc, etc...there is just so much to it that it is inconceivable to play online without even trying single player. This should be never done, and it goes for ANY game. Learn the basics at least and then go play with other people. You don't risk ruining their game and getting kicked that way.
Would you be so astonished to wander on to a BF3 server years after release and get trounced by everyone and thing on the map?

It is a good idea to play all of the campaigns offline/online several times so you know where you have to go. But I wouldn't listen to people telling you you'd need 100/200/300 hours in campaign before you can play Versus - because of course you learn nothing about playing the Infected in those 100/200/300 hours as survivor vs. bots. Instead, either play Versus with friends who tolerate mistakes while you learn or just live with getting kicked. It will happen a lot for justified or stupid reasons anyway.
I see now where I made my mistakes, and I will admite them.
At this point,2 users offered to play with me,which looks like a big deal for someone to dedicate his time in trying to teach another player how to play.
I know this is hard, because I did it before, many,MANY times, both in games that are on Steam [CS:GO in particular],and in games that I belive not even 1% of all steam users, never heard of.
First things first, before adding anyone and/or going online again,I will try to finish the single player campaign.
I just hope it doesn't have any storyline related to the first L4D.
Thank you once again, for showing me that the community of this game,is not entirely made up of people that just hate a player for being new to the game.
