L4D2 Local Co-op .. can't it be simple ?

Hi,

I just bought myself a second Xbox 360 Wireless controller and I was trying to see which of my games allow for some good fun threw Local Co-op. I see L4D and L4D2 listed as Local Co-op playable but all I can read about it is to go thru the console and activate a bunch of things and load a map with script to activate the split screen and 2nd controller.. Screwy

Isn't there some way to play Local Co-op directly from the menus without having to figgle thru the console ? If not .. where's the best and most recent guide to understand how to do it, I found some info but never got to make it work 100%.. got Split-screen and second controller active but the 2nd controller wouldn't let the 2nd analog move the view and I have no idea how to reconfigure the controls of the 2nd player.

Anyone got info to help out ?

not sure about 2 controllers, but ive got it to work with one keyboard, and one controller before but was alot of troube. Used to be a good guide on the SPUF forums at one time.
